I have a spot on my arm where I had ringworm a few months ago. I know, eeew, but I rescued a kitty that had it over 90% of her body (and she is all better now! yay). Anyway, this area doesn't seem to tan as well as the rest of my arm. Will this ever go away, or will I always have a little white patch?

It is hard to say ....
when you press down on it and hold pressure on it does any colour appear in your under tones? or is it with-out colour?

Yeah, a little color appears. I might add that the area does tan, just not nearly as quickly as the rest of me. I don't think it is as noticeable to others as it is to me (of course lol).

Re: Ringworm...

The ringworm basically does the same thing as tinea versicolor - it causes the area to lose its tan, so that area is starting over in the tanning process. It will take a few weeks to a month, but the area will eventually catch back up.

Re: Ringworm...

Yep. Once a rose is correct. The main difference is that ring worm is contagious and t.v. is not.

Re: Ringworm...

After the ringworm itself has been treated, it can take anywhere from a few weeks to over a month for the spots to blend back in depending on the skintype and tanning frequency of the person in question. For me, it takes anywhere from 7-9 sessions for them to blend. (by the way, my spots are from tv, not ringworm. I've been fortunate to only catch ringworm once from a stray pooch)
