has anyone tried this one yet? I was going to order some and give it a whirl but it's sold out....

Clinique's products tend to be really harsh, us usually they're better for younger skin, thats whay young teenage girls love buying it (plus, its so cool to own department store makeup). Try Clarin's Total double serum.

I use clinique makeup because it was recommended to me from my dermatologist..and I have been using it since 16 and I am 23 now..
I do not think the products are harsh at all..I have very sensitive skin and they are the only company that keeps me from breaking out..

I thought the whole point of Clinique is that it was designed for sensitive skin. I've never, ever heard anyone say their products are harsh. Maybe they have changed their focus over the years but I'm positive it was a senstive skin line (the whole line) when it came out. And a large part of the products are for mature skin. They have a few things for young skin but I've always noticed more for mature skin. MAC, Hard Candy, Urban Decay, now those are lines in the department stores for young people.

Clarins does make great products. Quite pricy but very natural ingredients.

I really liked the Clarins Renew-Plus Night Lotion. I have been using Christian Dior 50/60 Rapture, I think it's called, and it's really faded the tiny lines around my eyes and mouth.

When making an investment in "proper" products....We feel you should have a licensed professional help you.
THe girls who work these counters know their products....but they are not skin care professionals they are sales people in white uniforms.
I know this might sound snippy to you...but we worked hard to get our licenses and we continue to take advanced classes so we can wear the WHITE uniform..........

Remember it isn't the uniform that makes the individual a professional..it is their license that hangs on the wall and their test scores.

Unfortunately, Chris, I don't think that there are experts like you up here! Just to clarify, I looked in my bathroom and the facecream I have been using is Dior Capture 60/80. I have a client who is the manager of the Clarins counter and she gives us free samoles all the time and her skin is similar to mine so she has been able to make good suggestions based on that..

Christine, I think you are so very correct. But, unless you plan on cloneing yourself and your staff and opening up salons all over the country many of us will have to make do with what we have available

I hope your clients realize just how very lucky they are to have you and your salon to service their skin care needs. I know I'm jealous. I can tell by your posts and the amount of time you take to answer questions you really care. I can only imagine the amount of effort you give one on one.

Chris does know her stuff, that is for sure! If you ever get the opportunity to visit her studio, by all means do it!
