I would like to know a little more about this. I see that it is clear, does this help with streaking? I want to use this but I am a little afraid of self tanners. I love all the other Formulated Solution products that I have and I am curious about this one.

Thank you for the compliments on the other products and thank you for asking about the Derm Renew Self Tanner.

I know there are others on here that have used the product, and hopefully they will comment on there experience, however, there are still many that have a bit of trepidation with the thought of using a self tanner.

I want to give you a few tips that may help in easing some of your concerns.

1) Before using any self tanner, cleanse and exfoliate the skin in the shower or bath. It is best to use a soft cotton washcloth. Or try the Derm Renew Pineapple Exfoliant. Salt scrubs or abrasive exfoliants, including nylon or loofah scrubbers can cause a streaky effect.

2) Make sure the skin is free from lotions, deodorants, make-up or oils. Clean skin, Self Tans best.

3) It is best to apply moisturizer on the hands prior to application, your hands have a very dense horny layer, which is where the Self Tanner reaction occurs, and the moisturizer will impede the ability of the active to penetrate the skin. Allow the moisturizer to dry on the hands prior to beginning application.

4) Remember, a little bit goes a long way. When applying start at the base of the legs and apply upwards on the legs, a small amount normally the size of a nickel, is all you need to do an entire leg. Start small, this will keep you out of trouble. Especially with the Derm Renew Self Tanner, which does not contain any waxes, a little bit goes a long way and it will spread very easily. Use this same process of bottom up on the entire body.

5) To ensure no staining on the hands, wash them at least every five minutes while applying. Or use a damp cloth or wet wipes.

6) Tan will develop over a 12 hour period, most start to see color after 2-3 hours. It is best not to shower for at least 6 hours following your application.

7) Product does have a little bit of tackiness to it for approximately 10 minutes following application. So I always hang out naked for a little bit after applying. (sorry for the un-necessary visual) But try to wear loose fitting clothing, if at all possible following application.

Following your application, starting 4-6 hours after you have applied, use a good body moisturizer daily to help maintain your tan. Remember, you are only staining the outer most layers of the skin, so Self Tans will exfoliate away fairly quickly if your skin is really dry. Try to use soap free cleansers, rather than bar soap.

Those are some tips you can use regardless of whose self tanner you are using. (However, thank you for considering ours)

Derm Renew Self Tanner is a perfectly balanced clear lotion and is hydra-enriched with Vita Sphere TM technology that encapsulates essential anti-oxidants, pinpointing needed moisturization leaving the skin replenished, refreshed and beautifully bronzed.

Read entire label prior to use. Apply after exfoliating and showering. Place a liberal amount of SELF TANNER and Vita Sphere TM blend in the palm of your hand. Beads may provide some crush resistance, which is a normal and desired effect designed to ensure the complete protection of their contents, any beads unbroken by pump can be crushed with fingers. Apply a thin, even coat over clean skin. Use sparingly around hairline, knees and elbows. Wash hands immediately after each application. Color lasts for several days and can be darkened by repeating application.
