Rep Power: 24 | You have bulit up a tolerance to a tingle.. Go back to using a great moisturizing product along with a good after tan care moisturizer .. Wait awhile a about two weeks then try the tingle again.. A tingle factor is just like all products our body bulids up a resistance to them.. Try this and let us know if it doesn't help.. C |

Rep Power: 23 | Similar to the people like me who are just not "dark enough"......we have TANOREXIA. For the people whom never have a "HOT ENOUGH" session, they have the disease called TINGLEREXIA....... In the wise words of C' go back to a step one products and tingle free products for a while....then, embark on the tingle mission once again! PS... Just got out of the ORBIT... DO NOT USE IT IF THE AC IS NOT ON IN THE SALON! I felt like I walked across Death Valley in July! Melty _________________ CoCo LoCo [ This Message was edited by: Meltdbutta on 2002-10-18 15:09 ] |

Rep Power: 23 | Tan-A-Rama Christine is exactly right. The tingle effect of lotions is the effect of a certain class of ingredients, nicotinate, either in the Benyl, tocopherophyl, methyl or one or two other supplemented functional groups. After time the skin builds a tolerance to the ingredient, and its effectiveness diminishes. That leaves you with two options one is to continually increase the amount of active in the lotion you are using, or the most effective option, and one that Chris recommended, take a break from the tingles and find a product that you enjoy that does not have a tingle factor. I think you will find there are a lot of really good non-tingle products available that will give you fantastic results, and who knows you may abandon the tingle all together.. that seems to be a trend a lot of people are seeing. |

Today, one of the girls was there, and it felt like Africa....before I used the Orbit! And guess what I had to drink after i came home??? Rep Power: 0 | I used to tingle when the tingle products first came out, but the tingle was never uncomfortable or strong. I haven't been able to tingle for years. It doesn't matter if I go for months without a tingle product, whenever I use them, they do nothing anymore. It's like I built up a permanent immunity to them. This problem makes it hard for me to tell people what to expect...I rely on what other users (like yourself) have to say about specific products. Is it possible that some people just aren't sensitive to these products? |

Rep Power: 0 | I still get tan, I just don't notice the redness or tingle like everyone else. Sometimes I might feel a little twinge around my neck or insides of my elbows...but nothing to write home about. I think I'm just not sensitive to the ingredients like most people are. |
