Make- Up Application is sometimes a challenge. There is a process for you to use to help you achieve that flawless look, every day, every time. Let me share it with you.

My specialty in cosmetics is corrective coverage. This is a title I take very seriously in my work. My exact title is “ Corrective coverage specialist”.
I have had the thrill of doing much commercial work for television and ad work through-out my time as an aesthetician, because I specialize in skin disorders.
I myself cover a port wine stain (birth mark) on the left side of my face. I have made quite a bit of money off my birth mark over the past years.
Let me give you a few hints on to cover imperfections on your own skin.

Always apply your foundation first. This coverage may be just enough to cover the areas of imperfections such as blotches on the skin or dark circles under the eyes.
Use a tiny bit of concealer if you have major coverage spots.. but try to avoid it if possible. Concealers have a tendency to look heavier than your foundation and this looks clumpy and unnatural.
Those who are covering birth marks or a large discolored patched areas use a covererage base with an oil /powder in it. You want your foundation to go into the skin to look natural and even.
Remember smooth foundation on to the neck and blend it it in from the jaw bone.. You don’t want to see where it stops and where it starts.

Key is doting and blending in the areas that are in need of special attention.. use a make-up sponge to press the foundation or concealer into the skin.. Using a sweeping motion will take the product off the skin. Remember dot and blend.. pressing the product into the skin.

So your concealer doesn’t look heavy put it in your hand and mix a little bit of your foundation with it, also this helps to match the color to your base.( most of the time a concealor is a tad off from your base make-up.)

You can use a concealer brush to spread out the heavier areas of application.( Call Nail-Co and receive a book on all their fine cosmetic brushes in stock).

When working in the eye area for dark circle coverage use a concealer brush, always start at the inside of the eye and work your way outward to cover these areas, do not tugg or pull at the skin, this is delicate tissue and can stretch easily. When covering broken capillaries in the nose and cheek areas use a brush for your concealer, feather out the edges and work gently in these areas.

Try not to let your powder show. For those of us who are concealing birth marks and discoloration this is hard because we are using an oil base make-up, which is heavier than a water base foundation… After applying your powder with a large Fluff brush, pressing the powder into the skin.. Use a velour powder puff to continue to press the powder into the skin. Do not swipe the powder puff over the face.. this action will remove the make-up you just applied.

Now your face is ready to begin to work on those eyes, lips and cheeks.
