Rep Power: 0 | This isn't really skin care related but the Pill has been discussed here before. Does UV interact with the Pill? I ask because I've been off the Pill for years but am getting ready to try the new patch but it didn't even occur to me til today that they might interact. |

Rep Power: 28 | There are some draw backs I think, but I am not quiet sure what they are. I have been told by some clients that the brown patches on their forehead was caused by the sun and pill combination (per their doctors). I have never really researched this topic. Thanks for the push to do so. |

Rep Power: 23 | I don't know if I can really give you an answer. But, I can give you my opinion. I've been on the pill and tanning for years. I've never had a problem. I do know that the pill is listed as a medication that can cause photosensitivity. |

Rep Power: 23 | Like tangirl I have also been on the pill for quite sometime and have had no complications. I would definitly check with your doctor though, he/she will be able to give you the best answer on this! Hey BTW, that new patch seems pretty cool! If you do end up going on it I would like to know how it goes! Christina |

Rep Power: 0 | Years ago I was on the pill and I did get discoloration on my face after consistently tanning indoors. I stopped tanning for awhile and the blotches went away. Then I went off the pill and went back to tanning and haven't had a problem since. Just my experience. |

Rep Power: 23 | I take tricyclen and tan all the time. My twin sister does not take tricyclen and she also tans all the time-more than I do. If I tan more than 3 times a week I am likely to get really itchy and almost pink, even though I have a really, really good base. She can tan every day if she wants and never has any problems. We both always do the full ten minutes in our ten minute booths. From this I would say that the pill makes me slightly more photo-sensitive. |
