Melty:
That looks like the homes around Orlando..
We are in the process of still moving from our home to our new one..
The house you are looking at is probably a zero lot line.. meaning you are on top of your neighbors...but the home is nice, and quite a lot of space inside.. at a good price.. What are they asking 350,000.00 or there about??

Homes are at a nice price here in the Orlando area.. it is a buyers market..but it is hard to get any land with a home.. water front or access to water is HIGGGHHHHHHH Dollar.. even a run off pond/ ditch is considered water front sometimes here.. Very strange marketing..

Like I said you come visit us here.. .. It is a fickle fickle city at times.. It is mostly transit folks here for a few yrs.. then poof..off to real life....

We use to live in P.B.Cpounty when JC and I were first married.. I agree with your dad.. South. Fla is the place to live.. we are here in Orlando due to Jims job, and Keeli in school... but if I had my way.. we would be in P.B. County..

we have those monstrosities here in Jersey, only that one in particular would start at about $800,000. They are disgusting and, unfortunately, are popping up everywhere. The Northern NJ and NYC types move down here and they want their houses to look like Tony Soprano's. It's so sad to see a huge new development with cookie-cutter houses that are made like crap and waaaaaay overpriced.

I would love to move to another state where houses are more reasonably priced... but once you move out, you can never afford to come back.

Meltdbutta 09-16-2002 05:38 PM

Wait, you mean to tell me that the house in the pic that I have here is
???Disgusting??? or am i not getting what u mean???

I would do anything to get into a house like that! the Italian shingles....its so Mediterranean style... That house here on long island would be more than a MILLION, and its going for like 485 in ORLANDO.

yep, you got my meaning. I think they're UGLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY and unfortunately they're all over the place around here.

Meltdbutta 09-16-2002 07:26 PM

Its a luxurious Estate home...
I think its beautifull..

What kind of home do you think is nice, because if this isn't nice to you, what do you want njchica?

I like traditional homes... none of this new-age nasty Italian mobster stuff. Those houses just scream "I am new money but I can't buy myself good taste". I'm not trying to insult you, Melty, it's just what I think. I get really upset about it because they are being built EVERYWHERE around here and I think they are just eyesores.

my dream home would be a cedar-shake house with blue and white-striped awnings... preferably on the bay!!

TanInCA 09-17-2002 03:23 PM

Oooo I love cedar shake houses I like mediterranean style too though. The only kind of houses I don't like are the ones that claim to be colonial but are really flat-fronted and plain.
