There has been a difference of opinions on another board about a property in indoor lotions..
I would like to get others opinions on this...

Eric, JAs Chemist, Dr. Debra..and everyone else who is into mixtures could you join in here on this topic.. We need facts on this..

Petrolatum in indoor products..

It is the opinion of some that this ingrediant in a lotion used over a period of time will damage the users skin.. it is also thought to be a cheap way of filling the bottle..

I was under the impression this is an ingrediant used by many many companies out there in cremes snd lotions..
It is my feeling this is a safe effective ingrediant and helps the delivery system... but I am not a chemist...only a "praticing" skin care specialist..
I go by what what I am taught as truths..I work on only people, not in a lab with the ingrediants..

We know this ingrediant is safe for our acrylics on our machines.. This has been tested and tested...

What else can you tell you tell us about it.. Positive as well as negitive..

Wanting to understand more,

C

While we were reading in the Health magazine Sept. Issue.. in a recent artical
called switch to a heavy duty moisturizer ..
It says..
"creams and lotions usuallu reserved for very dry skin plump up skin cells which temporarily soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles..
(look for a petrolatum, sweet almond oil or shea butter product) and will keep the skin moisturized longer than a light weight version..
pg. 132 Health a time magazine.

Would a "GEL Moisturizer " be considered Light weight?
I see these new moisturizing gels made for oily skin types, or skin with acne.
Murad has one, and I wanted to know if these gel moisturizers work?

What is in a gel that could moisturize the skin?

thanks
