This is a true story...
I have just woken up with swollen eyes! Puffy eyelids, under-eyes, everything. I look like someone punched me in BOTH eyes, minus the black bruise part! I have no clue what caused this as I went to sleep early last night and wasn't upset or anything... It's a little late for me to get help for today but I'm wondering if you guys know of anything that I can use in the future if this happens to me again. |

just got into school and the secretary was taken aback by my face!!! (they all are )
She thought that I must have had someone close involved in the attacks last year and that I was very very upset about it. She even offered to call in a sub so I could go home. I applied the JA under-eye gel and I'm seriously thinking about going down to the nurse for an ice pack! |

did you eat something you had a reaction to?
did you have something on your hands and rub your eyes? how about an animal you came in contact with? we first have to see what caused this.. do they itch? water? or just look like you drank too much? |

My eyes do not itch and they are not red. The lids and underneath are just very swollen, as if I were punched in both eyes. My cheeks underneath are puffy as well.
I didn't eat anything particularly exotic last night-- we had Mexican. I went to sleep early. The kitten was in my room and I am highly allergic to her, but she affects my asthma. I wake up wheezing, not with a swollen face. I've sent 2 students down to the nurse for ice packs... and I look reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal cool sitting in the front of the room with them on my face. |

they are better this morning. I guess (and hope) it was just a 1-shot thing... I am going to the doctor next week anyway so I'll let her know.
It seems my stress is manifesting itself in all sorts of creative ways. This may be another one of them. |
