Chris,
In the chat thread in open forum you explained several reasons why we should use facial lotion on our face when we tan. Inclued in this you stated that it shows age quicker than the skin on the rest of our body and is thinner also. Then you finished by stating, "Do not apply a face creme right up to the eye.. stop at where the top of the cheek bone meets the eye socket."

I am going to open my big mouth and show my lack of knowledge, but why would you skip that part? It is THE thinnest area if I understand correctly, the most delicate AND the very first area to usually show age. I have always heard that applying any type of lotion to use your ring finger and sweep inward rather than outward. Now you are saying not to apply to this area at all?

Good question. There are lots of "under-eye" creams out there, that's for sure.

as long as it is a creme designed for under the eye you can use it.. it should be a gel base not a creamy one....
we have only 7 layers of tissue under the eye.. and no sweat glands.. no way of pushing out rich moisturizer in that area or absorbing it deeply.... Follow me on this??
see some people with little white bumps under their eyes?? this is because what ever they are using is too rich for that area.. ONLY use cremes/gels designed for the eye area.. NEVER use a moisturizer for the face in that area.. it's too rich..
this is very very delicate tissue do not pull or rub this area.. it is thin and fragile..
Eye area is the first to go.. be gental and kind to it..

So just before laying in a tanning bed, is there something we should apply to prevent aging? We all know that UV light helps that process along.

Do you mind us asking what cream you prefer for that area?

I apply a spiral matrix gel we carry and private label for my eye area.. .but there are several gels on the market for under the eye and lid.. for my face when tanning I use Lustrous by Matahari remember I have mature skin I am in my mid 40s, and need a light bronzer for my skin.. Designer skin makes an excellent face tanner as well as JA..

Illuminate by CT and Carotene Creme by JA are excellent facial products for tanning. I always ask people if they are allergic to nuts before suggesting JA products. I have had reactions on a very few clients using JA. JA uses a lot of nut oils.

I have those white bumps you are talking about. Hardly noticeabe, but they are there. I've been using the same moisturizer for my eyes as I have the rest of my face.
