About 10 years ago seaweed made its arrival in products for skin care treatments.
Marine plants have become main ingredients in rejuvenating, detoxifying and even slimming products. Many high performance skin care products have marine plant extracts..

There are 20,000 known species of seaweed and 2,000 species are currently used in cosmetic formulas.

Seaweeds found in waters around the globe are popping up in all kinds of creams, soaps and even powders..
Rebecca Gadberry president of YG Labs (formerly Youthglow Labs) says “ plants located in the fridgid waters of Iceland vary from those found in warmer waters like the Mediterranean, different environmental stresses and habits will produce different phytochemicals.”

These seaweeds can treat everything from skin disorders to arthritis even help with anti-aging… Seaweeds are known for their antioxidant properties.

One seaweed in particular that has caught my interest is Laminaria digitata,
This plant is found in a lot of different areas around the world. Scientists are puzzled how this plant thrives in so many locations. (spa resource may issue pg. 32) Laminaria digitata was found
“Thriving in tide pools, they had also adapted to a harsher environment by developing a differentiated cell in the outermost layer which functions as a protective barrier and prevents dehydration and undesirerable elements from breaking it apart”.

This plant is rich in vitamin K ( as is a lot of seaweeds) it acts as a calming agent for sensitive skin. Vitamin K is used to help calm and relax couperose skin.
Blending the serum of Vitamin K along with Shea Butter we found that a 15 minute facial massage will reduce the bright red discoloration on the cheeks and chin.
Using serums, designed for your type of skin on a weekly basis can enhance your skins condition and can help you to look your best. Expect good things from your skin..
Treat it with care and look under the Sea for some real treasures you’ll want to use.

Check out products containing seaweed or marine extracts.. Let’s see how many cosmetic companies are using things from the SEA!!

Sea you all soon..

Okay, lets go scuba diving in Tancun to see what we can find

I have been told that the salt from the "Dead Sea" is the best for using in Exfoliants. True???
