When doing that make-up application you must have your tools..
Using the correct brushes during application makes the difference in how your colours go into and onto the skin..

Rule #1. Never share your make-up brushes..
They are yours and yours alone.. (Like your tooth brush.. you don't share..)

If your having your make-up application done professionaly be sure the artist is using a CLEAN brush on you and she/he has taken it out of a bag/pouch or container before they try to use it on your skin..

Brushes aren't cheap and you should begin your collection with the basics..

1. A pony hair brush should be used as your Powder and Bronzers.. even if you use a pressed powder use your Large Fluff brush for appliction.. (for touch ups you can use the puff in the pressed just be sure it is cleaned often)

2. A Blush brush is a smaller version of the Large Fluff and this too should be pony hair.
Some blush brushes are slightly cut on an angle to help you blush upward..

3. Sable is a soft hair..and we find it is great for appling concelors and creams in and around the eye area..
Find a tiny angle brush ( Christine' calls them exactos because she can the line exactly the way she wants it to go) and also find a liner brush for eyes that are made of sable.

4. Lip brush.. We like a sable again.. though there are alot of synthetic ones on the market.. you will get a much better result with sable.

Remember the way your brush is cut makes the look happen.
Straight cut brushes make eye shadows move on perrrrfect...
Brushes that are layered on the ends make great lining tools.
Round brushes blend and create the smoothness of the look..

Clean your brushes regularly with a quality brush cleaning solution or a soft anti-bac soap... Use a towel to get the water out of brushes....Never stand them up to dry this will put water down in the base of the brush.. lay them on a clean dry towel... and put them away in a closed container when dry.

Your brushes will last you a life time if you care for them...
They are not cheap.. but a good brush will care for you as long as you care for it..
