Rep Power: 23 | How much cleansing do you recommend? For acne-prone people? Who sweat from facial pores while tanning? Obviously we want to apply facial tanning lotion to clean skin and remove makeup...but then I like to was my face after I tan too...I know I over-cleanse, but how can I not? I can't stand to watch people go in for a tan with a full-face of makeup and tan, then return to work etc. Or those people who put their body lotion on their face without cleansing their hands...I try to direct people without being too pesky.. |

Rep Power: 28 | We all know that cleansed skin tans better. And tanning with makeup on is not good on the skin. Pores open and makeup soaks in, leading to more problems. If you have acne, try the new JA antiblemish product and Tara even mixes it with the carotene creme. |

Rep Power: 24 | Remember... Everyones skin is different. When directing people on "tanning the face neck chest" it is important you tell them this skin is different than the rest of their body. They should use products designed especialy for this skin. Lotions made for the body are not the same as for the face, we have talked about this in other topics in this forum.. Cleansing: Cleanse the face before tanning and apply your tanning lotion (made for the face).. After tanning use your toner or astringent and wipe clean with a 100% cotton pad to remove the residue that may be left on the surface. (continue to wipe the skin until the cotton pad is not pulling any debris).. Too much action from cleansers create consitant changes in the mantle (top of the skin)... Mitzi says for acne proned skin go with the JA blemish control. Washing the face before tanning to remove make-up is a good idea.. though not necessary depending on skin type. If an individual has nothing (active) going on with their skin.. make-up can act as a protectant on the skin. Products such as the Matahari Lustrous can be woren right under the make-up all day long.. or alone while tanning.. There are several face products to pick from.. Washing hands before putting on your face lotions and creams is VERY important... Hands have a Bazillion germs on them and it is important to make a great effort NOT to touch the face with unclean hands. Also washing your telephones off on a regular basis, and washing your pillow cases a couple of times a week can help reduce the acne problems. Best of tanning to you and your skin..
