Rep Power: 0 | Smooth and soften sun-damaged hair with deep conditioning hair moisturizer . We like Terax Original Crema, $20. If you spend a lot of time in the sun, or do a lot of bleaching to your poor tresses, a hair moisturizer is a great bet to quench thirsty hair without weighing it down or making it greasy. Other great bets: Aveda Deep Penetrating Hair Revitalizer, $21 Paul Mitchell Hair Repair Treatment, $17 On a budget? Slather hair with REAL mayo (not light or Miracle Whip), put on a shower cap or wrap in plastic wrap, and spend an hour somewhere warm (sauna, in the sun, whatever). Gross but effective![ This Message was edited by: TanInCA on 2002-06-25 17:41 ] |

Rep Power: 23 | TanInCA OK have you put the Mayo on your own hair before? It does sound gross. In the summer months my hair does seem dry and gets a little WILD. Natural curl & Wave will do that tho. I'll take a gander at your selections. Thanks for the tip. Angie |

Rep Power: 25 | Never tried it but I too have heard the mayo treatment. I truly believe in salon quality products for your hair, just the same as salon quality tanning products , you get what you pay for. |

Rep Power: 0 | I have never tried the mayo route, to be honest. I have this thing with mayo, because I know what it's made out of, that I can't stand to even get near it, much less put it on my hair. But one of the staffers here swears by it, and her hair is indeed gorgeous. I personally prefer the Aveda. I adore all of Aveda's products, they are all natural so it's unlikely to have a negative skin reaction with them, they all smell AWESOME and they work great! |

Rep Power: 23 | "Wella" "Liquid Hair" its the best reconstructor, it makes your hair shine like crazy too! Spray it on and dry it in, it has liquid hair protein and liquid silk protein! One treatment and you will see! Ask your stylist for it! |

Rep Power: 23 | Okay I'll admit it, I did the Mayo thing once when I was in Junior High School. What I remember is washing it out the same way I always washed my hair...in hot water. It took forever to get the gunk out of my hair. I was told later that perhaps it actually "cooked" while on my hair and that is why it was so difficult. I still hear every now and then that I should give it another try, but I ccan't get those bad memories out of my head. |
