This birth control pill has beenproven to be 99% effective if taken correctly.
In clinical research 9 out of 10 woman in clinical cases saw a big difference in their skin..it clears up moderate acne.. If you have have no known contridictions to taking the pill and you are over 15 yrs. of age this is worth checking out for skin improvement. I advise you NOT to take the pill if you are a smoker... especialy in woman over 35. Millions of woman are taking Ortho-tri-cyclen and seeing better skin.. If you are having out break and topical medication is not working.. I suggest you try this. C |

I only used this pill for a month and the gyno had to take me off of it. I have to take pills with the same level of hormones in them everyday and these pills I guess have dfferent levels. I was not who you wanted to be around that month I has severe mood swings I would cry for no reason I would get mad for no reason .... but now I am on another pill and normal again thank God!
p.s - I dont know if this is true or not but my gyno said that all birth control pills help clear up skin but they just use that to sell one piticular pill. |

Many people see improvements in their skin with Ortho. But, as stated above, many others have problems with the differing hormone levels.
I am one of those. It took about 5 years for my doctor to find the right pill for me. I have to be on the lowest possible dosage otherwise I have major mood swing problems. And, when I tried Ortho for two months, everytime the hormone level changed I became ill (nasea, etc.). Ortho is also 3 times as expensive as other forms of the pill. |

I, too take TriCycen. I am considering going off because my mood-swings are also insane!
I get such bad PMS that my partner has been known to send me home from work for fear that I may scare the clients. Previously, I took Alesse but it had high levels of androgens which made me break out like crazy. That's why I switched to tricyclen but the PMS is bad. (I have nice skin now though...) |

Ortho has been proven to work on acne..
not mild out break.. It is important you discuss this your doctor.. Ortho does have proven results..but from the sounds of it it also has a mood swing to it.. not good.. crabby is BAD!! Depro shots.. well............ I've seen some women blow up on it.. but not all have this problem.. Like I always say.. thats why they call it medical pratice... But I do say Ortho HELPS acne. |

personally i think that any birth control pill can cause some major skin damage.
i was on another popular brand and i broke out very badly, from totally clear smooth skin to absoultely yukky. i stopped taking those about a month ago...and i see some improvement...it takes about 3 months for hormones to get bak to normal....not too mention i was a total b***** when i was taking them...lol[ This Message was edited by: lvs2tan on 2002-06-18 12:04 ] |
