Which is better for your legs shaving or waxing?????

fungirlz 06-09-2002 12:38 AM

I say waxing..
I do not use a razor.. I have waxed since 1976..and I have no use for a razor ever!! nor wax very much now maybe a strip once in a blue moon....
Eventualy the root dies when waxed regulary and properly..

Waxing is the way to go I say..

Others may feel different.

Been thinking about waxing for along time. Maybe I'll give it a try this fall, have to wait till then because it is shorts season now and I don't think I can let it grow long enough to wax, yuk!!!

I am truly afraid of the waxing thing....

no eyebrows, no legs, nothing. I would need anaesthesia to survive.

If your treatment is done with skill there is little pain involved.
Using a topical numbing spray during the treatment helps the little bit of stinging.
Search for a certified professional who can help you get the job done right!!

We have many many many clients who do this treatment and are very happy with the results.

Beauty feels no pain!!!!!!

becka 06-09-2002 08:40 AM

While in beauty school I waxed my legs. one it was free to learn the skill. It hurts a little, not a much as a razor nick, lasts a long time, and the growing out so your hair is long enough to wax sucks, but worth it in the long run.

They eyebrows, got to do it. Yes it hurts a little but like Chris said they apply a little cream( the good ones) and that makes it all better. I can't beleive how having your eyebrowns done right can change the look of your face. It is an instant lifter.

MELTY!!!
Where ya been buddy??
I have missed you!!!

We use a topical spray and also a cream that is RX strength for areas that are super tender..

No unnecessary pain involved..

Becka.. you are right waxing the brows makes for an instant lift.. but be very very sure your service provider knows exactly what he or she is doing.. I have seen some pretty scarey brows needing to be fixed after a bad service..

Melty.. as far as this product you asked about??? No I never used it..let us know when you do.. any luck finding a job in the tanning business??
How about going to cosmotology school like I suggested to you before.. any interest there??

I received a call yesterday afternnon from a client who used a product called sugar bare..
It is a sticky ball of sugar you rub all over your legs and it removess the hair..
I didn't think it sounded very clean as you continue to use the sugar ball over and over.. anyway, she broke out in little bumps all over her legs..
She bought it off a television ad..

I told her to wait to tan until the bumps were gone.. and use a bit of witch hazel to calm the skin..

has anyone ever done this method?

can you give us some information on this Sugar Bare?
