A lot of beauty products are loaded with shimmer now days.
Lip glosses, body lotions eye shadows...it is sooo easy to over do it.

Accent your best features..

In small amounts shimmers are a very attractive and look great..
The little sparkles can brighten up your cheeks, throat, eyes, lips, legs...
but you need to pick one or two places to shimmer.

Over doing it can look very Halloweenish..
You want to be careful how much you use.

During the day it's ok to sparkle on the cheeks and then use a high gloss lip smacker... Or evening try the eyes and neckline..maybe a bit on the legs.. but don't go for it all over.. you'll end up looking silly ..

Have fun this summer and put a "little sparkle" in your look..

Okay I have to tell you guys what I had done to me this weekend in Vegas (boy that's an exciting line to start out with huh LOL)

We were getting ready to go clubbing on Sat night and I was like "I need some glitter or something" so I went to Sephora at the Venetian (if you have never been to a Sephora, RUN don't walk!! it's awesome!). One of their cosmeticians sat me down and applied bronze glitter somewhat heavily JUST along my upper lash line, anchoring it with some eyebrow wax used as a liner (eye gloss works too, I redid it myself the next night with an Anna Sui and it was perfect). He just used the wax like an eyeliner, and then used a brush to press the glitter onto it, and sealed with Benefit's "She-Laq" to keep the glitter from coming off all over. I looked like a rock star and it was killer against my tan and hair color!

Now obviously it's not for every day but it's a good way to put some shimmer in ONE spot for a party or for clubbing I LOVED IT! It looked so great. I can't wait for the opportunity where it will be appropriate to do again

Glitter is cool when used in a good light..

Remember this type of glitter can be used on the eyes.. some CAN NOT..
Be sure the one you use is for eyes.. as others can cause damage to the eye area..

The trick with glitter/shimmer is choosing ONE place to use it! The rest has to be subtle. Either glitter on the lash line, on the lashes, or on the lips but not all three! Tacky tacky!
