Rep Power: 0 | I had a lady call me the other day and she told me that she has red blistes on the front of the bottom of he leg. I went through every thing like if she uses a tingle lotion and if the were red bumps. She told me they were blisters not bumps. I have not seen it yet and she is comming in this week to show me. I am lost because it is not on the back were she lays on the bed and she don't use a tigle lotion. I have seen heat rashes and the way she talkes about what she has it don't sound like that. If anyone has seen this and knows how to help PLEASE let me know. |

Rep Power: 0 | Maybe she has contact dermatitis from a lotion (it doesn't have to be a tingle lotion to cause a skin reaction) or new soap/cleanser she's using? Usually, the dermatitis shows up as a rash, but sometimes it turns to blisters or flaking skin. There are lots more, but here are some of the common cosmetic ingredients that can cause dermatitis: 2-Bromo-2-nitrophane-1,3-diol (Bronopol) Alcohol (including denatured) Ammonium Glycolate Benzyl Alcohol BHA (Butylated hydroxyanisole) BHT (Butylated hydroxytoluene) Cetearyl Alcohol Cetyl Alcohol Chloroacetamide Cocamide DEA, MEA and MIPA Cocamidopropyl Betaine Bi-t-Butylhydroquinone Diammonium Dithiodiglycolate Diazolidinyl Urea DMDM Hydantoin Glyceryl Thioglycolate Glyceryl Stearate Glycolic Acid Imidazolidinyl Urea Lanolin and Lanolin derivatives Methyldibromo Glutaronitrile Oxybenzone (Benzophenone-3) Propylene Glycol Ricinoleic Acid Sorbitan Palmitate Sorbitan Sesquioleate Stearamidoethyl Diethylamine (and Phosphate) Stearyl Alcohol t-Butyl Hydroquinone TEA-Cocoyl Hydrolyzed Collagen TEA-Cocoyl Hydrolyzed Soy Protein TEA-Stearate |

Rep Power: 24 | Unless you actually see that they are blisters (containing water in them) we can not help you with this woman..and even if you yourself see them..unless I see them I can not advise on treatment of this reaction. If it was a reaction from too strong of a mixture with the sanitizer on the bed..it would be all over the body that touched the surface of the acrylic.. I would suggest you DO NOT offer this client any treatment advice unless you know FOR POSITIVE it will work and it has come from indoor tanning. Ask her this.. Did you use a product such as nair to remove your hair recently? (that would be my 1st question).. ask did you use ANY hair removal product recently on your legs? There is a product that is a " soft then moves to hard based sugaring removal) as seen on TV to remove hair.. it does cause problems on people... A rash is one thing... Blisters are another. Blisters can cause loss of pigment in the skin if not treated properly.. Please be careful in advising this client on treatment of these so called blisters. Christine' |
