I do not ever think one should use a tingle factor on the face or throat...even the deicate tissue on a womans chest is too sensitive for one.
I suggest you only use what is designed for the face when tanning.

Maxing the circulation of the blood and exposing it to the heat of the tanning lamps could cause unnecessary dryness and may even cause patching on the facial tissue.

Do not ever use a tingle near the eye area.

Wash hands after application of a tingle factor.

Be safe.. Look great..
Chris

Thank you Chris, for explaining this. I always thought it was a bad idea to put tingle on the face but you put the reasons into much better words that I can use to explain this to my customers.

There are several "face products" on the market for tanning..
Try using the Illuminate by California Tan..
It is designed to care for facial tissue, and it is so nice you could wear it right under your make-up or alone through out the day.
My favroite is the Lustrous by Matahari (the Rolls Royce line by California Tan).
The Lustrous has bronzers and a slight tint to it to encourage a soft smooth looking tan.

These products for the face are designed for the face, throat and chest area.

Designer Skin offeres a hypoallergenic Facial lotion for tanning called Saving Faces.
It is fragrance free, and helps reduce the fine lines and wrinkles..

Both men and woman need to protect and care for the face while tanning.

In my opinion, the best lotion to use on your face for tanning and/or moisturizing is John Abate Carotene Creme. I use it everyday whether I tan or not. It has Vitamin A and carrot oil in it which are both great for the skin. Another reason I use it is because from tanning, I get dry patches around my nose and under my bottom lip on both sides of my chin. It gets flaky there and the Carotene Creme is the only creme that gets rid of the flaking.

Sometimes just for daily moisturizing I use the Carotene Creme with a few drops of our JA Anti-blemish complex. I have never broken out with the Carotene Creme, but the anti-blemish complex is like added insurance. Plus, the combination of the two makes my skin so soft.

As far as tingles on the face, I always say in my seminars that I personally don't use tingle on MY face, but that we do make the Facial Oil with a tingle of 2 for those who insist on it. We don't think you should go higher than 2 on your face anyway. I always tell people that they shouldn't use whatever tingle lotion they use on their body on their face. I ask them if they would use the same moisturizer on both face and body at home, and they always say no...so then I ask why tanning lotions are any different. They usually don't have an answer...and end up buying a facial product.

Tara:
Thanks for this information..
I will try to get some Caraton Creme and try it.. Mitzi raves about it all the time..

I have a few clients who like the tingle sooooo much they do slightly use a body one mixed with a facial lotion when tanning their face.. now I can tell them about your 2 factor..

Keep these great tips coming.. So very glad to see you here posting with us..

I know you guys don't like to support supre and I buy very few of their products as well but I have to say that I love their colour facial tan maximizer with SPF 4. I use it on my face whenever I tan. If I don't I burn. It has vitamins A, C, and E and Beta-Carotene and skin-firming marine extracts. I put it on my shoulders when I go running as well.
