Did you know that 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated.?

Lack of water is the number one trigger of daytime fatigue.
Even mild dehydration can slow your metabolism by 3%.

In almost 40% of Americans the thirst mechanism is so weak it is mistaken for hunger.
Kidneys can not function properly with out water. Increase in water decreases fat deposits.

YOUR SKIN NEEDS HYDRATION…………cell activity and for flushing out toxins.

Insufficient water intake guarantees premature aging.

Are you drinking 8-10 8 oz. of water a day?
If the answer is no than you are probably dehydrated.

Now go water yourself!

I hear this over and over so it must me true.....but I can't make myself drink water. I probably drink a twelve pack of diet coke per day but they say that is no good, how can I trick myself to drink water????? I am addicted to caffine!!!!

excellent post Chris!!! they say that by the time you FEEL thirsty, you are ALREADY DEHYDRATED.

I try to drink water throughout the day but I can't drink as much as I would like or I'd be running out of every class to use the bathroom. hehehe (CARDINAL RULE=NEVER LEAVE 8TH GRADERS UNATTENDED)

Everything you said is true, though.... H2O helps your body to function better. It thins your blood and helps circulation. It helps to remove toxins from the body. It even helps you to feel "fuller" in terms of hunger.

Maybe you can trick your taste buds with some of the flavored waters out there. Or try water with lemmon.

I too am a soft drink junkie, but I have been trying very hard to hit the water button on the machine instead of the coke button lately.

I don't know much about tricking your body into drinking water, but I have expeirienced my body tricking me. Now all I drink is water.

Lots of kidney stones, kidney problems, and being told that I'd better watch it before my own is no longer functional did it for me. Water actually tastes GOOD once you get used to it. You can even taste a difference in bottled water. My favorite bottled water is Aquafina with the blue label. Try it, you'll love it.

ugh kidney stones... I have had a few already and I'm only 25..... they are the WORST.

I hate drinking water when I'm trying to flush one of those suckers out though... my kidneys are already inflamed and not functioning properly, now I'm adding MORE water to the situation. I blow up like a balloon and it isn't pretty. hehehe

I am a water junkie. It helped me lose weight too. I love it! However, I just read an article that said too much water can be bad for you...depending on your body! Too much would be considered anything after 8 glasses per day so most people would not drink near this much but I found this pretty surprising. Anyone else know anything about this?

I gave up sodas over 10 years ago, lost 3 pounds in one week. Occasionally I'll crave the taste of Pepsi or an orange soda, but a sip or two takes care of the craving. You really don't miss them once you give them up. And you don't know what they do to you til you try again much later. The sugar and carbonation only bloats you, and sends you reeling down off that high a little while later.

Anyone remember the Dr. Pepper 10, 2, and 4 commercials years ago? They marketed this way knowing you would need that sugar rush at those times of the day, to hook you. Processed sugar is addictive, but it probably isn't the most dangerous additive in our foods today. Now we have aspartame, which was originally being researched as an ulcer drug (it is a chemical, 3 actually - 1 is used to make formaldehyde).

Soda Pops, Coffee, Tea, Processed Fruit drinks , Slim Fast and other protein drinks can reek havoc on our skin, especially when we get over 30 years of age.
Try putting fresh lemon in your water.
Carry a sports bottle with you during the day..keep it full of fresh water.
When it gets ˝ full.. fill it up again. This way you aren’t counting 1 glass 2 glass…
You just are watering yourself through-out the day.

I have never heard too much water can hurt you, but that doesn’t mean that report isn’t out there.

Try to reduce you intake of liquids that have processed sugars and salts.
Tamar just said she lost 3 pounds dropping soda pop.
Think of what 3 lbs of hamburger look like!!

But most of all.. think of how wonderful your going to feel inside and out.
