Rep Power: 24 | Angela... before my kids started invading all my "neat stuff" I used to do mine in the shower too. I found that by keeping up on it all the time it didn't take any time at all. It's actually much more of a project now to give myself a pedicure... but I keep up daily with the foot creme and the soft thick cotton socks. |

Rep Power: 24 | Do we ever stop and realize what our feet do for us? Think about it? Lugging us around.. Kicking this.. stepping in that..Walking on something not very nice....or hitting the corners of the bed!!!!!! It is my opinion that a pedicure is due every 7-10 days.. Make the time.. treat yourself.. If you do it in the shower everyday....... I admire you.. I'd rather sit back..relax and listen to some tunes and pay a few bucks for someone to sooth my tired tooties.. But if you can't, try this.. soak in warm water with 1 part white vinagar 15 minutes.....after the soak pat dry your feet..use mayonase for a nice massage and wrap your feet in 100% cotton socks..(as you have suggested).. let sit for 20 minutes..(avoid the dog during this time).. wash feet off .. pat dry and use a thick moisturizer such as cocoa butter.. Rub into feet....put on fresh socks.. go nite nite.. Next morning you can put on your shoes and take the dog for a run.. |

Rep Power: 23 | OH MY GOD. I am seriously dying here with dry heels....... I have been using a pumice stone in the shower and moisturizing with foot lotion before bed (wearing socks through the night) and it is still not working. The past few days it has been particularly unbearable. I was just like some insane flea-ridden animal scratching the skin off of my heels in the shower with the pumice stone. I then used JA Salt Glow to further exfolitate/moisturize. After the shower I put some of the foot lotion on and a pair of socks... and.... they're.....still....itching! Argh! |

Rep Power: 0 | I have two words for you.... Castor Oil This works wonders, is cheap and doesn't have any weird ingredients in it. Simply soak your feet at night, dry and put a nice thick coat of the stuff on and put on white cotton socks. Go to bed and I swear after a week you will have feet as soft as a baby's butt. I am a barefoot girl. Summer, winter, fall, spring. I get a pedicure at least once a month, but I still have to do the castor oil at least every other night to keep my feet from being like sandpaper. I also use the pumice stone on occassion if I have slacked with the oil. But if you stick with it, you should have no problem. P.S. - The castor oil is MUCH cheaper than all the other products you will find out there, so it is easier to keep up the use without going broke. |

Rep Power: 21 | There is a great product called Cucumber Heel Therapy and it is a free sample attached to a Swedish Beauty tanning lotion called Dangerously Dark. It is amazing!! This is a great selling point to use with your customers too. Many of them proably have the same dry heel problem from barefoot fun and tanning. I think that could possibly be the next kind of add on product some of the bigger manufacturers get in to. _________________ "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! Rep Power: 0 | Do not laugh! My mom gave me an old remedy for dry, cracked heels. After you bathe, rub Vaseline directly to your heels or any other cracked area of your feet. It actually works! You'll notice some improvement quickly, if you rub your feet with the Vaseline and wrap it up with saran wrap every night. It can get messy so, put a sock on those burritos. This is a bit unpleasant but I saw results! |

Rep Power: 21 | I have had this problem since I was little. Nothing would work. Tried it all. one of my clients is a Beauty supply distributor and she saw how bad of condition my heels are. She brought me in I think its a nickle foot scraper and you just scrape your heels while your feet are dry. Then she gave me the creative spa's cucumber heel therapy. Within 2 days I noticed almost a 75% change in my heels. I use it now twice a week and believe it or not the deep cracks are gone and they are as soft as a baby Bootie! I dont have time to do the whole routine every night and this really works. What I also do is when I tan I take two towels and place them under my heels so that the heat does not contribute to the damage even more. |
