Chris,
I don't wear overall makeup as a general rule. Frankly My husband likes the natural look. I do too. Just a little color on the lips.. and the face powder you suggested (LOVE IT!! ) and lashes and I am out the door. I have tried all the brands out there. I have found that .. if it isn't water proof then It tends to run alot. But this is not the issue. I am concerned about the removal of mascara. I used to put my eyeliner on by pulling the eyelid outward. I was told by a friend a few years back NOT to do this. The constant pulling at that skin can cause wrinkles in the future. The eye zone.. (or whatever you call it)is the thinest most sensitive area of your skin. I don't like tugging and pulling trying to RUB the mascara off... help!! I don't want any unecessary wrinkles (crows feet) later from removing mascara. Nor do I like using Eye Makeup Remover. I must have most brands ever made in my makeup drawer(Mary Kay, Avon, Clinique, to CVS Brands). These gave me reactions from really swollen eyes lids to just slightly swollen, burning sensation, or red blotchy areas from the remover. Mary Kay seems to be the best remover of the bunch. Here is what I do... I remove my mascara when I get home from work. I get a little more off at bedtime. I then wake up with black mascara circles under my eyes..the next day!!! so I try to get the rest off. If I rewash my face and try to wear mascara that day .. it just looks slightly clumpy.....ahhhh OKKK let me state I do not apply my mascara Tammi Faye style either!! ( just in case you were wondering)lol As a result ..I have resorted to getting most of it off and NOT wear any the next day. Hoping that it will wear off after a couple of days... Planning mascara days gets annoying so most of the time I just don't wear it. Do you have any recipe from your kitchen or recommendation for a brand name and type of mascara and remover brand. I will check my mascara wasteland drawer to see if it is in there already. thank you .. Love Yas!!! Mj |

M.D.Formulations makes an eye make-up remover as does D.D.F. (Doctors Dermatological Formula). For sensitive eyes.
These are the two brands our studio carries and we private label another one called eye and lip. Your friend was right in telling you not to tugg the eye area.. We only have 7 layers of tissue in the eye area and it must be treated very kindly. Use a 100% cotton pad when removing your mascara.. Not a tissue. Try using the one product you have that doesn't give you a reaction by applying it to a cotton pad.. use quite a bit of the remover. Place it on your eye a while before you begin the removal process.. After, rinse your eyes with cool water and repeat the process, until your pad is not taking anymore off. ( you may go through 2 or 3 pads depending on the amount of mascara you used that day). Do not use baby oil on the eye area as it can clogg the tear duct. A 100% cotton pad is suggested because a cotton ball can shread and small fibers can get in the eye. Rinse eyes with an eye wash solution after removal of make-up you will feel fresh..and not want to rub the eyes afterwards.. Protect your eyes..you only get one set of them in your life.. Maybe Brenda from Eye Pro can help us here with this question.. |

I agree Stacy.. It looks like abuse of drugs and other factors other than tugging of the facial tissue..
Mitzi.. what can you tell us about the JA facial products you carry? Could you start a Thread about them for us!! I am just about to start learning their whole line. I am very excited about it. Frank is sending out the manuals and materials.. |
