The couple of times that I used total immersion on may face, my face burned, and under my eyes was the worst. Is it that I am allergic to something in the lotion? Does anybody elses face burn a little bit when they apply total immersion to their face?

its probably the pertrolatum in the lotion.
I cant use products with it on my face but have no problem using it on my body.
use caltans face moisturizer on your face.

Meltedbutter: I personaly do not recommend you use anything on the face unless it is made for the face..

Our face is different tissue than is the rest of our body.. remember the face includes the neck and chest..

I can tell you your eye area (where bone meets socket only has 7 layers of tissue.. you must be very careful what you use in this area and how you tug and pull at this tissue area.. Our skin is like a rubber band (so to speak) it only has so much give until it stretches just so far and runs out of elasticity.

Petrolatum in the Total Immersion is a semi solid mixture..this is found in many over the counter creams and lotions.. (This is a moisturizer to extend the tan..not designed to help create one),
so if someone is allergic to this type of petrolatum ..they probably are ultra-sensitive to just about anything on the market that is not a perscription.. Check with a health care professional in your town who is board certified if you think you may qualify in this catagory.

There are several products available on our market for tanning the face..
J.A. makes excellent products that I have personaly tried..in skin care as well as tanning.

The vitalift in Illuminate has a lifting complex..and vitamin E enriched antioxdents.. Remember our face is very very delicate and needs extra help..

I suggest you NEVER burn your face and for that matter any part of your body.. the damage you get today will be your trouble in 10-20 years from now.

I did not use the total immersion on my face during tanning. I applied it after tanning, and it burned (sensation) my face. I would NEVER let my skin burn.....I know about that.

i always use a face lotion (recreate or illuminate) for my moisturizer on days i tan on days i don't tan i use biore's moisturizer .

Illuminate can be used as a face moisturizer all day long..
Under make-up for women, or alone.. We have several men who buy this as their moisturizer for at home use.

Total Immersion isn't a face moisturizer ... ( I know you know that..this for readers who may not know the line. )...remember in the above post we discussed why we should only use products on the face made for the face.

Let me ask you.. is you facial skin normaly dry? oily? or combination? or normal?
Have you ever been hyper-sensitive to any products on your face before, which caused a "burning feeling"? Had your facial tissue been recently exfoliated (with-in 24 hours) prior to uv exposure?
