Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Need advice with electrical supply to building 480 to 208 Im opening my second salon and need some advice badly. The building currently has a 480/277v 3 phase panel to a step down transformer to 208/120 125a panel. Only thing on the 480 panel is ac and secondary panel. Im running 10 beds in this salon with 6 of them low beds 30amp 3 of them 50 and one at 90amp. Only the one 50amp and the 90amp bed are set up for 3 phase. All other beds are single phase. So what should I do??? Obviously the main panel is of no use but to run the ac and supply a useful panel right? Do I have to buy a bigger transformer at 112.5 kva or more to support a bigger 208 panel. Any help would be greatly appreciated..... |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Re: Need advice with electrical supply to building 480 to 208 I was thinking about that but 240v as far as I know comes in at 230v+- and that would be too much for the low beds so I would have to buck the power on those. Either way it seems I would need buckboosters???? |

Ive always been one to ignore maunfactors warning as most are always ultra conservative for liability reasons. That was until I opened a tanning salon.... Do you think I still should run them that hot. I would love to have 240 coming into the building for my beds! |

I would run a 208 transformer and boost beds accordingly. A delta transformer will probably run more like 245v in reality. The red leg restricts options too. Run a WYE 208 and boost beds as needed. |
