ANOTHER MONTH LIKE JULY----DONE & GONE!_

I guess I could always leave it a tanning salon, and lease it out as that. I'm thinking $5000 a month wouldn't be bad. What assurance would I have that the maintainence and upkeep would be done on the tanning beds. This would be one of my concerns, as I would maintain the building repairs, etc. Anybody else doing this or anything like this?

A little unknown clause of ObamaCare has to do with real estate (don't ask the correlation--just another way to get 'taxed'). Beginning in 2013, all real estate sales will require a 3.8% tax of the sales price, PAIDED, by the seller...

Another reason to hold it, and hope for better days, if not this go around, then in 4 years...

^^^September normally picks up here, because the college is back in session, but, I don't see the normal this year. If September starts as hot and humid, as it's been for the last 7 weeks, it's going to be a real bummer. Gosh, I hope it snows soon.

Our July Sales are Down by 30% i'm scared for what the rest of JASON has to bring but i'm hopeful that we will pick back up with the temps starting to cool down just alittle no more 100 degree days

Every month was down 10-25% from last year, and its kind of like that for everyone.... Its the economy... People arent spending on Tanning like before... Hold on, and keep on your games, because within 2-3 years it will turn around.... Nobody can ***** as much as we can here in RI..... as we are the first state to have the 18 Plus law pass... If you are 18 and can provide ID proving so, you can tan indoors, otherwise, unless a DR. reccomends it, you cant do it.... No more prom season.... No more Pre-vacation tanning for anyone under 18... Parents permission means nothing... This took about 20% of our total business away right off the top... Im doing the exact opposite everyone else is doing right now..... Everyone is running away, and looking to sell.... Im upgrading my equipment, and re-inventing my salon... Indoor tanning isnt just gonna dissappear, so when it starts to come around again, I will be ready to be on top...

Black Sun, I think you need to look up the facts on the real estate tax in ObamCare. Understand that I am no fan of ObamaCare but if I am correct the only people who pay that tax are individuals with income over $250,000 or couple over $500,000. Also you only pay the tax on the amount of profit on a real estate sale over $500,000.

So if you qualify on income and you sell your house and make a profit of $600,000 you would pay a tax of $3800. I might be wrong but I am pretty sure this is correct.

On another post, I stated I was down 77%, my bad. I recalculated and I'm only down 60%. Thank God, I thought I was going broke. lol Rich, I think you are correct on your assumation.

Ok, today we start our new August special. Buy a Tan in any bed for only $3.00. No limit on the number U can buy, but must buy a mimimun of 5. Upgrade to HP for $5. These tans must be used by 12/31/2012. This really isn't as bad as it seems, when u think about it, and we have to get peeps in the doors. I guess I won't be selling out this year. lol
