Rep Power: 26 | Global Warming - "Cap and Trade" Redistribution of Wealth Tax Scheme This t-shirt from www.tshirthell.com Imagine if AlGore had actually gotten elected in 2000. I'd bet that with his belief in the myth of Global Warming that the liberal tax scheme known as "Cap and Trade" would already be in place. America dodged this bullet in 2000. "Cap and Trade" is the biggest government redistribution of wealth scheme every invented. The liberals have wanted this for a long time. AlGore became the unofficial Global Warming "Cap and Trade" czar after he lost in 2000 and has worked for the last 8 years paving the way for this new tax scheme. |

Rep Power: 69 | Re: Global Warming - "Cap and Trade" Redistribution of Wealth Tax Scheme I'd prefer a redistribution of power, myself ... I understand the Global Warming farce and the "liberal hysteria" pushing it, but at the same time, I know that we can and should do things to decrease pollutions of our environment. Cap and Trade though is entirely about money, big business, and politics. This is just the next "thing" our mob-rule elected government is going to "do to us" that you and I have no choice in nor the power to stop or change it. I voted "against" Al Gore in that election, by the way. Isn't it sad that we have to "vote against" candidates instead of having the option of "voting for" the candidate we want? I think it is.

Rep Power: 26 | Re: Global Warming - "Cap and Trade" Redistribution of Wealth Tax Scheme Did GM ever give a reasonable explanation for why they killed their popular electric car? It would still have a big CO2 footprint because most electricity is generated with coal. But, still, it was an electric car that apparently worked well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_FDmmJm9vSA Last edited by Ezliving_Jim; 04-09-2009 at 10:02 AM. |

Rep Power: 69 | Re: Global Warming - "Cap and Trade" Redistribution of Wealth Tax Scheme No, I don't remember ever hearing a reason for that, or any other alternative fuels vehicles and power. But I bet the reason has to do with the same reasons that Big Tobacco is still in business - money and politics.

Regarding the early GM electric car: It carried thousands of pounds of old-era lead-acid heavy batteries and cost more to produce than it could be sold for at the low volume of customer interest. If it cost me $200 to make a $150 Solarmeter I'd quit making them too!

Rep Power: 69 | Re: Global Warming - "Cap and Trade" Redistribution of Wealth Tax Scheme You're so greedy! hehe It always has to about you, Steve ... You could've just agreed with me again and said "Yes, Belvy is correct again. It's about the 'money'!". But in all seriousness, your suggestion of economic objection and insurrection is not a viable approach ... but I respect your sand ...

Rep Power: 23 | Re: Global Warming - "Cap and Trade" Redistribution of Wealth Tax Scheme Not viable? If so-called "conscientious objectors" to military service can be considered viable by the liberal left.... than my conscientious objection to this highway robbery (pirates too!) is totally valid and viable. Now all we need is for many more to join in - especially you electric-greedy salon owners gobbling up more KW than 20 homes every day (hehe as you say). |

Rep Power: 69 | Re: Global Warming - "Cap and Trade" Redistribution of Wealth Tax Scheme "Words only mean what I say they mean ..." hehe Steve, you and I both know your method of civil objection is doomed to fail. You could as easily strap yourself upon across and don a crown of SolarMeters for all the "good" it would do ... don't try to change the subject ... decebt people don't want to kill other people, regardless of how noble the cause or "lawful orders". Salon owners are not "electric greedy" - they're Hummer greedy! hehe Electricity is just a means to an end for them.

We can't make solar or wind less expensive so why not invent "cap and trade" to make coal more expensive? Higher energy bills forced by taxation. Instant inflation and dollar devaluation. 19 more months until the liberals can be voted out of Congress.
