The money for the tanks, humvees, airplanes, gas for the above pay for the army, supplies, ammunition, etc. Where did they come from and who paid for them?

The money stayed here in our country I assume.

Tan Talker is right. All the posts above him (except #1) are wrong - as usual.

Not only that: The Iraq (or any) war dollars are not zero based. Everyone conveniently forgets that if all the people, tanks, planes, humvees, etc were brought home today... the cost to pay servicemen and maintain the equipment would be about 2/3 of that needed to fund them overseas.

So the net-present-value cost "reported" by the liberal mainstream media is really only about 1/3 of what they report.

Social entitlements for both illegal and legal residents continues to FAR exceed Iraq cost... and now under NoBama is getting worse by the day. Bailing out idiot overextended homeowners while ignoring those of us who play by the rules is just the latest example.

This country is going to the dogs far faster than I ever imagined. Perhaps I should stop paying my mortgage right now.

MiniMan remains at least half insane. The "real" rich upper 10+% will always figure out how to escape socialism by shielding income as "un-earned".
