Rep Power: 19 | tooth fairy! I know this has nothing to do with tanning but the cutest thing happened last night I jujst had to share. Anyone with kids will get a kick out of it. I have been trying to get my 5 years to let me pull out here first loose tooth that was hanging on by a thread, so I told her she is still a "baby" until she has lost her first tooth. It finally fell out last night. We don't do the "tooth Fairy" or santa either. She put her tooth on her head board so she could show it to her teacher. She woke up this am ****** and crying that we lied to her about the tooth fairy and the tooth fairy "stole" her tooth. I asked her what she was talking about. I told her the baggy with the tooth must have just fell off her headboard and I would find it in just a bit. She insisted that the tooth fairy stole it. When I asked her why she thought that, she said she left a note and preceded to go and get it for me. She returned with a note that said Dear Jenna, Ilove yourthooth yourmomtells youthat weneyou loseyour babytheethyourarenot ababyeney more, lovethetoothfariy. It turns out my 7 yr old deceided to play "tooth Fairy" and left her money for her tooth. She took a $50 bill out of her own piggy bank. Trust me this is a note I will be keeping forever.

One day I was sick all day and got out of bed around 5 pm to fix my 3 girls dinner and she asked me why I was getting up. I told her I was going to make them dinner. She then told me she already did it. She made chicken nuggets, Corn, and pears. I was shocked.

It's about passing on the spirit of Christmas. They will have plenty of time in their lives to take things seriously. Kudos to your 7 year old. She is picking up where you failed. She truely gets it. |

Tooth fairy is not important, Easter Bunny not important or the reason for Easter, Christmas is not 'because' of Santa & children don't need 'fake crap' or the world's view to have a healthy respect for holidays & still enjoy them without taking things 'seriously' as you put it. Traditions are for families to pass on, not the world's opinion & hope is an everyday thing-each day we wake up there is always hope. There isn't any failure here, the 7 year old did something for her sister from the heart- I say kudos to the mom for teaching her 7 year old to be so giving!! | |

Rep Power: 29 | Re: tooth fairy! brian is correct. The rest of you are grossly closed minded. Yeah, you want your child to be "the weird one" in school cause you are trying to what? Prove a point? I can't WAIT to by my kids stuff for Christmas. Why even bother have kids? |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: tooth fairy! Let the kids have a childhood. Even though it is a nice gesture that the 7 year old made dinner for everybody it is not normal behavior. That child is taking on too much responsibility at an early age. She is owning too much. She should not care if everyone eats, that's your job. She should care about pink bunnies and ice cream and Santa and The Tooth Fairy. Sounds like way too much pressure to make them grow up too quickly. They need immagination and fantasy. It spawns creativity. If you don't believe, you don't recieve. |
