I still burn 200 bucks every weekend to ride/race my atvs and dirtbikes.

The rise in gas prices have not affected my lifestyle one bit.

Why,because I push the cost off to the tanner.

Now if I was some working class stiff,I might be angry that gas prices have curbed my lifestyle, but I am a business owner and I will still do what I love to do at the expense of my customers.Thats why I spend 80 hrs a week here.

If you have not made any adjustments to your pricing to compensate for the additional burden the gas prices have imposed on your lifestyle, then its your own dang fault. There is a huge window of oppertunity, some people chose not to step through it and now they are *****in.
I totally agree with you. Gas prices "suck" but I still do the things I always have even though I thought I would not with the current prices.

Listen to what your suggesting.
Do you even KNOW how oil futures work? Google it, it interesting.

Here is what is propossed to be "fixed", that is take the kid on the block out. As you can see the year 2000 is when this loophole came up and thats about when gas prices started to climb like crazy:

May 15, 2008 1:22 PM

ABC News' Z. Byron Wolf reports: Ken Lay has been dead almost two years and Jeffrey Skilling is several years into his 24 year prison sentence, but one legacy of the Enron era lives on.

It’s the "Enron loophole," which exempts energy speculators who make trades electronically from US regulation. Some argue that the unregulated energy speculation, codified in 2000, can account for $20 to $25 in the jump in oil prices.

But now, 8 years after energy traders were able to push legislation exempting their electronic trades of energy futures from US regulation, a measure in the Farm Bill aims to close the loophole and subject futures trades made electronically inside the United States to US law.

“This bill is really our best bet to deter unscrupulous traders from manipulating energy prices and engaging in excessive speculation. This has been a long, hard road – and this is a major legislative victory," Said California Democrat Sen. Dianne Feinstein after the Senate passed the underlying Farm Bill on a broad, bipartisan basis.

Specifically, according to her office, the bill would "require electronic energy traders to provide an audit trail and record-keeping, monitor for market manipulation, and increase financial penalties for cases of market manipulation and excessive speculation."

HAHA.. well not everyone is as well off as some of us may be as business owners, even if tanning is down. Generally speaking we are an older crown than our primary demographic of ladies aged 16 to 25. These youngsters dont manage money well, not yet anyway. So gas prices hit them hard - yet they go out and buy $100 jeans....

Re: A Vote For McCain will end the tanning industry

Man, your politics are that of the Nazis calling everyone communists and socialists just to stir up the ****.

"How about they eliminate the whole EFT thing while there at it,you know, cause its unfair to charge someone if they don't use their memberships. How about they close that hole?"

EFT is a nightmare....oh I get it. GET THE MONEY HOWEVER IT COMES is what you believe in eh?

And that's where I end my talks with the under-educated.

as for "The USA DOES NOT REGULATE THE WORLDS OIL SUPPLY!Whats wrong with you people?I'm starting to think you and egg are the same people."

YES THEY DO AND YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE THAT DOESN'T SEE THIS.

Everyday we are SOLD some line about PRICES GO DOWN ON TALKS OF SUPPLIES...PRICES GO UP ON SUPPLY FEARS

EVERYDAY they pull this **** when it takes MONTHS for the oil to even get to our tanks. You trying to tell me that this isn't the case? OF COURSE THE USA CONTROLS THE PRICES!

"Who are you going to blame egg when there is no reduction in gas prices after the election?"

THAT'S A "WHAT IF" man. Do a search for all my posts and you'll see that I'm RIGHT ON with most of my "predictions".

How can I GUARANTEE that the prices will go down? THE REST OF THE WORLD WON'T HATE US THAT'S HOW.

It's called inflation man. MOST of the prices are high because the rest of the world wants nothing to do with the USA.

Remember, FOR US OR AGAINST US....guess what. IT COSTS A LOT OF MONEY TO BE ON YOUR OWN and that's what AMERICA IS RIGHT NOW.

ON THEIR OWN.

Until this is fixed AND THE WAR IS OVER there will be no end to inflation. NOTHING to do with gas supplies.

I think egg has been hit hard Unity.

And I know how futures work, two of my friends are traders and they have been managing some of my money for some time.I only inquire where they have lost money, not made it.

Re: A Vote For McCain will end the tanning industry

Any dimwitt can be an oil speculator. And MANY are. Not just some "fat cats" Unity & Egg loves to hate. Haven't you heard of EFT's? There are all kinds of them like USO and OIH that you can buy and sell anytime online... long or short.

None of that crap makes any PERMANENT TREND of up or down oil prices... only some day-to-day volitility as people buy long or sell short based on what stupid CNN or MSNBC says about hurricanes or the Iran idiot shooting rockets, etc.

If you can't lick 'em... you CAN join 'em - if you DARE haha. But libs are chicken-**** of all that speculatin' stuff. So they just *****-and-moan.

Re: A Vote For McCain will end the tanning industry

My biggest problem with what's going on today is that it already happened about 60years ago in NAZI Germany and this doesn't raise any questions from the "patriots" on here which is sad.

Do a little search on Reichstag Fire Decree and (if you can read that is) you'll notice that Germany was "attacked" and it they enacted this Decree which is basically the PATRIOT ACT where it takes away your rights so you can be protected from the enemy who just so happen to be COMMUNISTS AND SOCIALIST DEMOCRATS.

Guess who started the fire.....go ahead. Take a guess and I'll give ya a hint....it WASN'T COMMUNISTS OR SOCIALIST DEMOCRATS.

Stop falling for stupidity that's been written IN STONE.

Thats what I have come to realize, you can be a whiner or a winner, the choice is yours.

I may be taken advantage of,but I am also taking advantage every time I can.

This is your WHOLE problem in a NUTshell Egg.

The "fire" was not started by a cowboy redneck GW. It was started by Islamo terrorists on 9/11/01 while your bad-english favorite president was sitting in a school reading fairy tales from a kids' book.

Were the evil doers from Iraq or Iran? No. They were mostly from Saudi Arabia but had ties back to that awful Osama guy in Afghanistan NOT the Saudi government.

With us or against us? That is as true today as on 9/12/2001 when virtually ALL world governments were FOR us. Not true to the ununiformed terror idiots... but to most or all of the the state governments they hailed from.

With 20-20 hindsight.... would nuking the 3-4 countries silently or secretly supporting what happened on 9/11 have been a better choice than "invading" the two places we did? Maybe. But that would have been an even more horrible toll on many more innocent civilians. The relatively surgical response we did was probably the best choice... even with all the setbacks that have been incurred along the way.

Egg - you live in a fake dream world. The real world is governed by the agressive use of force. Always has been.... like it or not. If somebody firebombed your salon and home... would you just write it off? Or would you agressively go after the creeps who did it? If the former you must be simply a dove pussssssssy guy.
