I don't give a **** what the rest of the world thinks. We are going to need oil for the next 50 years. We can use ours or pay for theirs. 70-80% of the country agrees with me. God help us if you are one of the smart ones.

Sir, oil is expensive thanks to inflation from a war that no one is interested in and it's outragous funding.

I do agree we should be on our own oil BUT that has nothing to do with the FAKE prices we are paying now. There is no oil shortage. There IS a shortage of people in the world looking to do business with an INSANE America and that is what's keeping prices high.

Inflation due to a **** poor economy is 50% of the $4+ we are paying.

When it's time to bash in the heads of hippies to make room for drilling I'll be there selling the wacking sticks.

The fact that McCain sticks up for ANYTHING Bush has peddled is enough for everyone to not buy into him.

DO I think he's doing this to kinda save face with the "bush" republicans? Probably. BUt that goes for Obama who has to get support from the hippie douches.

Announcing that the US is opening up drilling sites will CRUCH the speculators and the market price will FALL! This is a fact. Its does not matter that it will take years to get the oil into the pipes because YEARS ahead is where the speculators are.

Uh,have you seen how the "road workers" are making our tax dollars work. One guy working and 6 guys watching at 25+ dollars an hour is more than enough reason to eliminate half of those overpaid pieces of crap.Thats part of the problem with this country "Low Productivity" and high operating costs.3000 of those highway workers are cancers anyway.

Im not talking about Hilarys plan,that would only save us 8 cents a gallon.Im talking about the 45+ cents in fed and state taxes.

Then they can start drilling all they want,If what you said above is true,it won't be long before they can re-instate the gas tax.
A temporary relief along with opening up our stockpile.

Just opening up the stock pile of reserves, just a third, would bring prices to $2.20 a gallon average.

The problem is less with the price of oil and more so with the speculators. We need to crush them!

Oddly... when I first started reading tansquawk's politic threads a couple months ago - I viewed Unity and Megatan Man as Egg clones. Same kinda hate Bush and "his" war and "his" economy as the Egg always has.

I was wrong. Both of them are no-where-near the fanatic far-left of Mr Egg. Thankfully. Even the Plymouth Belvedere has moderated some.

No way unity,you will never see 2.20 a gallon,maybe 3.00,but nothing less.

The dollar is way to weak.If the dollar was as strong as it was 10 years ago,then maybe 2.20 or even 2.00.

Im not like Egg because I pay attention to whats going on all over the world.The world for Egg is his chair behind the counter in his salon.

Maybe, but you would be surprised. If speculators are driving the price of a barrel to OVER twice its actual cost, I think a crash of the speculator market would drop it by a large amount. Dropping it to its real market value would be great and that would actually cut the price in half and bring gas into line of $2.00 to $2.50 a gallon. I know that sounds extreme but just think how much gas has inflated over the last ten years. Its quadrupled!

just an update... of course this report says he's had 4 that were melanoma before. from what i've read he's only had 1 that was melanoma so far and when they cut most of his face that left the scar they had found nothing that time either.
