For Sunsally - Leasing vs. Purchasing

The math on the Paul McCartney-Heather Mills divorce is as follows:

After 5 years of marriage, he paid her $49 million. Assuming he got sex every night during their 5 year relationship (which would NOT have happened!) it ended up costing him $26,849 per time.

On the other hand, Elliot Spitzer's call girl, Kristen, an absolute stunner with a body like no other, charges $4,000 an hour. For anything!

Had Paul McCartney 'employed' Kristen for 5 years, he would've paid $7.3 million for an hour of sex every night for 5 years (a saving of $41.7 million).

Value-added benefits are: a 22 year old hot babe, no begging, no coaxing, never a headache, plays all requests, ability to put BOTH legs around you (!!!), no *****ing and complaining or 'to do' lists. Best of all, she leaves when you're done, and comes back when you ask her. All at 1/7th the cost, with no legal fees.

Sometimes ;easing makes far more sense.

Re: For Sunsally - Leasing vs. Purchasing

I've heard if it f**ks, floats or flies, lease it ;)

Not sure where a tanning bed would fit in there though, lol.

I lease at least one of my cars because I want a new one every few years. I found out buying them was costing me $$$. With beds changing so fast like they are, they may be becoming the luxury car of the tanning biz - better to lease than to buy because by the time you get it paid off, you want a new one. If leasing beds is like leasing cars, they can come and pick up the old bed and you can sign a new lease for the bed that now makes you a drink and a burger.

Re: For Sunsally - Leasing vs. Purchasing

In this instance, I have to agree - Leasing would have made more sense!

In all probability, Paul was like some salon owners who go in overly optimistic about the long term potential. If he had managed a 30 year relationship, with NO divorce -clearly "buying the cow" upfront made more sense. Just as paying out all your cash up front for beds, buildout and decor makes sense - until business doesn't pick up as fast as you thought and you are caught short handed (in Paul's case, short legged) for cash flow.

Spitzer's made a much better decision - use someone else's money (are we sure there was no State monies involved??) and pay-as-you-go. Pay for your "equipment" as it "pays you" - not before!

Great analogy Movieking, from a great business man who knows......

(about LEASING I mean - not call girls. Sheesh you guys....)

If you were that good of a business man, you would have used your normal method of sexual gradification. You would have paid Moma Thumb and her four daughters a dollar a piece and then went and bought hand lotion to keep it nice and soft. You would have saved $60.

What does a good BJ lease for? How could you write it off?
