If you truly believe voting independent is the way to go then do it and stop complaining. Nobody is telling anybody how to vote. These are just opinions.

The message was simply that 3rd party vote is a waste of your time because they can't/won't win. That's all. And IF you prefer democrats - a vote for 3rd party liberal takes away from Obama. IF you prefer republicans (I realize YOU and Egg don't) a vote for 3rd party conservative takes away from McCain. Simple as that.

Ralph Nader, etc likely can't ruin Obama's excellent adventure. But Ross Perot definately ruined Bush 1 in 1992.

Again,another ignorant comment.Winning isn't everything,its about your right to vote for who you believe is the best.Sure an independent has a snowballs chance in ****,but if I or anyone else feels they are the best candidate,why should we feel obligated to vote for someone we really don't care for because they have a better chance of winning.

Winning is always a plus,but the ability to exercise your voting rights should come first.
