Accutane

Hi guys, haven't been here in a while. I started taking accutane, and i'm already noticing some side effects. I googled some of the side effects I was feeling, and I found that accutane can give even harsher long term side effects. Like:

1. YOU CAN GO BLIND
2. Crohn's Disease
3. YOU CAN LOSE YOUR HAIR
4. DECREASE BRAIN ACTIVITY

These side effects p!ss me off, my doctor never told me anything about them. I want to stop treatment completely, they just ain't worth it. I only been on accutane for a week, do you think it's too late for me to stop without having any side effects.

Re: Accutane

Only your doc can answer that. Ironically, this add appeared when I loaded this thread:

Anyway, a week is not much time though and accutane is found in the body so it should get taken car of on its own. But like I said, contact the doc that prescribed it.

Re: Accutane

the ads are generated from words in the post...that's why you're going to see tons of ebay lotion ads now.

Re: Accutane

Anyways, i'm stopping treatment. Tanning removed all my acne, and it was a lot safer. I'm just afraid of skin damage, cancer, but those side effects seem a lot safer!

Re: Accutane

As we know, tanning in moderation has not been linked to cancer. Get a lotion specifically for you face and you should be good to go. DS makes some stuff specifically for acne, I think its called Vanishing Act. Thats all I can recommend!

Re: Accutane

Sadly it still causes skin damage, cancer might not be proven, but I think there's a high chance it does. I believe the lotions cause cancer more then anything else. All the lotion goes onto your skin then it obviously absorb into your bloodstream

Re: Accutane

Ya, but if we go that route think of all the plastic you consume. All plastic packaging that candy bars and snacks, like chips, come in. Bottled water? For get it!

There is a lot that body take it that is takes right out. You body has a capacity to remove harmful toxins at a given rate. Think of an internet connection. Data can transfer just fine as long as you dont exceed the capacity = moderation. But if you exceed the capacity the system backs up and can no longer handle that data or toxins correctly. Thats when you have a problem. As scary as lotion ingredients look, most are very natural and very safe. There is more "proof" that under arm deodorants could cause cancer than tanning lotions.

As for aging. If you do NOT use a lotion to keep skin moist and tan A LOT, sure, you will likely age your skin. The least desirably place to tan is outdoors though, UVC is what does TONS of damage and is why we are concerned about the O-Zone. I am not sure on this, but I dont think tanning lamps emit UVC, the exception being high pressure but ordinary glass is used the filter the quart-based lamp.
