Heath Ledger found dead

I just read he was found dead in NYC. Sad. Wonder what happened? Didn't he just have a baby...well not him but his ex-wife or something?

Re: Heath Ledger found dead

NEW YORK - Heath Ledger was found dead Tuesday at a downtown Manhattan residence in a possible drug-related death, police said. He was 28.

According to the New York Times and WNBC, Ledger was found naked and unconscious with pills strewn all around him.

NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said Ledger had an appointment for a massage at the Manhattan apartment believed to be his home. The housekeeper, who went to let Ledger know the masseuse was there, found him unconscious at approximately 3:30 p.m. ET, according to the New York Times. After receiving no response from the actor after shaking him, they called authorities.
The Australian-born actor was nominated for an Oscar for “Brokeback Mountain,” where he met his wife, actress Michelle Williams, in 2005. Ledger and Williams had lived in Brooklyn and had a daughter, Matilda, until they split up last year.

Ledger was to appear as the Joker this year in “The Dark Night,” a sequel to 2005’s “Batman Begins.” He’s had starring roles in “A Knight’s Tale” and “The Patriot,” and played the suicidal son of Billy Bob Thornton in “Monster’s Ball.”

Ledger grew up in Perth, and began doing amateur theater at age 10. At 16, he moved to Sydney to pursue an acting career, quickly landing TV movie roles and guest spots on Australian television.

After several independent films and a starring role in the short-lived Fox TV series “Roar,” Ledger moved to Los Angeles and costarred in “10 Things I Hate About You,” a teen comedy reworking of “The Taming of the Shrew.”

Offers for other teen flicks came his way, but Ledger turned them down, preferring to remain idle than sign on for projects he didn’t like.

“It wasn’t a hard decision for me,” Ledger told the Associated Press in 2001. “It was hard for everyone else around me to understand. Agents were like, ‘You’re crazy,’ my parents were like, ‘Come on, you have to eat.”’

His latest role was in “I’m Not There,” in which he played one of the many incarnations of Bob Dylan — as did Cate Blanchett, whose performance in that film earned an Oscar nomination Tuesday for best supporting actress.

Re: Heath Ledger found dead

I dont know why but I find this very sad. To die at such a young age with you have all your life in front of you. :(
There is nothing worth to take your own life.

Accidental overdose?I highly doubt it.Probably another Owen Wilson case.Boo hoo!My life sucks,I am rich and famous and I still can't keep it together. These people need to look at the people around them and realize their livin better than 90% of the public.Or go work a regular 9-5 for minimum wage so they can see how it is to work for a living.

Re: Heath Ledger found dead

I watched Larry King Live yesterday and a doctor said that he might have had something wrong with him since the pills they found could not have killed him. Over the counter sleeping pills and Ambien pills taken in an overdose would make you hyper instead of killing you. But who knows, he might have took something else as well.

In any case I find it really really sad.

Re: Heath Ledger found dead

THis is a non issue.

It was "accidental" to the same way someone drinks themsleves to death. Well I can USUALLY HANDLE 3 CASES A DAY. I DUNNO WHAT WENT WRONG

Here's what REALLY happened.

This guy gets NO REAL SLEEP thanks to the brain chatter so he's now relying in sleeping pills. Well, when you are to the point of takeing a hand full everynight you still have to wake up in the morning.

Cue the rolled up twensky.

It wasn't used BECAUSE HE NEVER WOKE UP TO USE IT.

Take one drug to get you to sleep. One to wake ya up in a friggin hurry.

Only works in moderation.
