Oil companies are making record profits, true enough. But what is driving this.

Oil is now about 100 per barrell (90's actually) China and india will take all they can get. demand is at its peak. The shieks controll the flow to keep the price artificially high. If you owned your own well this would be good, NO?? The Oil companies should not be made to sell it below market cost. The cost is about 3-4 to get it out and in a pipe line, they built the infrastucture to do this. the market went way up their profit followed.

We need to increase supply to temper demand, and lower our overall demand by conservation.

Drill anywhere there is OIL, Alaska, gulf of mexico, antartica, you name it drill it. When the supply increases the price will fall. Simple Economics. Use our own oil, so we do not fund our enemy, let eat their F'n oil. Even an whiny little Infant can see this.

Also we have not built a new refinery on 30 years we are at about 98% capacity. NFG. Do-gooder environmental groups have made it impossible to do this. they make thousand different blends for each metro area. make two one for urban one for rural. cut out governamental regulation and the price again will fall.
