If I waited around for someone else to "do" something,I would not be where I am today.I don't sit around waiting for someone to save me.

I guess i am a bit of a conformist.I adapt and change to ensure my survival,so for me it really doesn't matter who is running this country or what they are doing.Im still making mine.

I might be part of the problem since i lack participation,but im surviving and thats all that counts.

Howdy All,
Well after reading some very good points and some expansive rants I have decided to add my 2 cents worth. I am sure some who are so sure of themselves and there "Ideals" will disagree since they know it all but here we go:

Racist won't vote for a black man or a woman.
First of all just because someone does not want to vote for Hillbillary or Borat Osama does not mean they are racist. I am from the South USA considered not only the capitol of racisim but IS the Birthplace of the civil rights movement. Racism is not just white on black but black on white, Muslim vs Christian, you name it somebody out here hates somebody for no reason other than race or faith. I and many WOULD vote for a Black man or Woman if they were the RIGHT person. Both Hillbillary and Obama are very poor choices which is why I hope they do not win.

I agree that the USA is a melting pot. I think any one who wants to come here deserves the chance to do so the LEGAL way. Also the language of the USA is English and ANYONE who comes here needs to learn the language not the other way around.

TAX THE RICH??
This has to be one of the dumbest notions I have ever come across. Why should anyone have pay more taxes just because they make more? More Americans are now in the higher income tax bracket than ever before and the plan is to LOWER the bracket so more people pay higher taxes. These are the same people who create jobs by starting new biz. Many super rich give tons of money to charities every single year. I agree that those who take advantage of employees and stock holders and rip them off should serve a long time in jail.

The War:
Thank GOD Bush had the courage to do what is right in IRAQ. The previous regime commited genicide on a great number of the population and WAS trying to get nukes and other weapons to do great harm. Saddam also paid each family of PLO suicide bombers in Israel every time they blew themselves up. If thats not supporting terrorist I dont know what is!
Also people forget the USA was attacked manytimes BEFORE 9/11. They attacked he USS Cole,
the BOMBED the World Trade Center, and attacked the Kobar Towers with US Military inside.
But at the time Clinton was worried about Wag The Dog, that and had depleted our military to tthe point of ineffectivness. My only complaint would be we should have had another 250,000 troups on the ground. It needed to be done and W. had the balls to do what was needed.

Health Care:
Yes health care cost too much and insurance does not do enough. But do you really want the government to decide what doctor you see and what treatment your entitled too? Then they can also decide you need to loose weight or quit drinking, smoking, eating, ect?
If it works so great why are there so many Canadians who come to the US and PAY for treatment that was denied to them there?

Education:
I am already paying too much in taxes to teach everyone elses kids, why should I pay more?
So someones kid can go party at school and maybe learn something?

Those of you that live in your big cities and think your world is how the rest of the world should be...ya'll need to get out some. I have found people who live in large metros sometimes have an elevated opinion of themselves and no clue what reality is like in the real world. I have found many in small towns have a better idea of what is best for the U.S. than those mentioned above.

It would be great if we lived in a world where we don't need a powerfull military or strong president to do make the unpopular decisions but we don't live in that world. There are people out there that hate freedom and want to kill anyone who does not think they way they do or follow their faith. Sometimes the unpopular thing to do is the best thing to do. Anyone who thinks if we just lay down and leave the rest of the world to do as they please will be very unhappy when we are attacked again. Many of these same countries are the ones who many Americans have died defending for years. Europe can keep there ideals and their eros.
Had it not been for the U.S. they would all be part of Nazi Germany or the USSR now.

Well enough of my rant. All you libs and Bush haters fell free to dog me as much as you like with your better than you attitudes. All I can say is this is the GREATEST country in the world and God Bless the U.S.A. and our leaders. May they make the right decisions to protect our country and not listen to the deluted ideals of the weak willed leftist. Oh and thank God for George W. Bush who had the balls to do WHAT WAS RIGHT!

You do realize the "rich" are already getting taxed higher than the majority, right? So I do not say to raises taxes, they already pay a ton! So because the make more they DO get taxed more. Ya, BS, I know.....

Warren Buffett the richest and and smartest money man alive says he should be taxed higher. This is the same guy that's LENDING BANKS MONEY CHEAPER THAN THE GOVERNMENT CAN CAUSE HE ACTUALLY HAS THE MONEY AND THE GOVERNMENT HAS TO BORROW IT FROM CHINA.

The problem is that the mentally incapable think that % means NOTHING in reality to anyone with more than a 3rd grade education in math.

I know that opponents of candidates always look to deficiencies in experience - no foreign policy experience, no governing experience, no legislative experience, etc. Just curious, Jim, but what does your ideal (meaning if one candidate out there had all of them) list of qualifications for president look like?
