Im not picking on you directly, but many have this mentality. Keep in mind we are a young country and are in fact founded a MANY different cultures. America is a melting pot. I am American, but I am also VERY German. I speak german and eat a LOT of German and Polish foods. But I am not in a localized section of Chicago, like Chinatown. I am in the norther woods of the Mid-west were the vast majority of people living here have German, Polish, Dutch heritage. I am also a 5th generation American so my family has been planted here before America became "America".

So who is to say what culture and heritage is the "American" way?

Im first generation american unity,my parents were just 19 when they came to this country.They busted there azz here and made a good life for us,

My parents could have spoke in there native language and segregated themselves to little Italy,but they chose to learn english and accept american culture.Sure we ate many european dishes,but we also enjoy american eats equally.

This country was founded on its ability to manufacture and we were without a doubt the strongest in the world,thats when life was good here,now nothing is produced here.

I guess its the area we live in cleveland use to be solid middle class.Now its become low class and high class living,mainly due to the lack of manufacturing.Dummies need jobs too.Theres just not enough out there for all of them.

IMO a hardworking laborer is on the same level as high profile executive.the only difference is one uses their mind,the other uses there muscle.
