As a golfer, and a white man, I find this type of humor extremely offensive and intentionally demeaning. I suppose if things like slavery, racism, and Scottish pasttimes had never happened, then a quip like this could be rather humorous. I can even see myself letting go with a guffaw or two after the punchline if the circumstances were different. But alas, this is the world we live in where people cannot say anything remotely racist, sexist, religious, or political in any company. Here's one of my favorites: what do you call 100 rag-heads at the bottom of the ocean? (This one also works for any group of people you don't like! hehe)
