How long does it take to develop skin cancer?

I think i've been tanning a little too much, and been getting too many sunburns in the past month. How long would it take me to develop skin cancer? I got a weird bump, and i'm a little worried.

Sunburns?
From where?
Stay out of the sun and if you are worried about a bump then go see a doctor!

What are you an idiot? Man, you've been LIED to son. The chances of you getting skin cancer are slim to none. Worry about drinking and driving and talking on the phone.
