WTF are our "elected leaders" doing with the ****ing trust and power we've bestowed upon them by getting them elected? My answer is that "they" have looked out for "themselves", and they've been doing this since "politics" started to mean more about the individual politicians than it did about "the people" in this country. It wasn't always this way. Ous country has actually had "true leaders" in government that cared about the people, and the country they led! I hate to hijack a thread like this, but, this entire situation is just representative, IMO, of "the problem" that has plagued our politics, leadership, and "status as a people" since the turn of the previous century. And it goes all the way down from manufacturing wars, to fixing ****ing bridges! I'm not suggesting "revolution" as we all think of it - I'm suggesting revolution in the sense that we stop going with "who and what" is "popular", here and abroad, and start going with what is "right" - which is what is right for every person on this planet. Let me know if I should start a new topic on this. But I believe that very person in the world deserves a "safe ****ing " bridge to cross from their God ****** governement!

So our government decided to closed all the overpass in that area to inspec them. They repaired them and now they are all open again. Every once in a while they close over of Montreal's overpass to inspect and repair it. Now with what happened in Minneapolis how do you think the people around here feel. Everyone is scare to go over Jacques-Cartier Bridge which is almost the same replica as the Minneapolis one. As far as "elected leaders" are concerned...... it the least of their concerns! |
