It doesn't matter WHY you weren't put on the schedule, it was unprofessional. Regardless of the reason, they should have notified you. That being said, take your experience, and move on! It isn't worth the energy anymore. I think things in life run in cycles, at that cycle is up. Bigger and better things await if you put your energy towards that rather than what you just left behind.
