So I said a while back that I was having problems with the Zoning of the new location for my salon. My landlord came back from Europe and nicely said that no, we would not have to pay rent until October when we would be able to move in. He gave the name and number to the man in charge of Zoning. By the end of my conversations with him I found out that the space we have picked out will never be zoned for a tanning salon. Now, Ive put in $200 in paint for the place, got someone to paint artwork on an entirewall, built custom cabinets and counter for the new space, new business cards that cant be used that has the wrong address, plenty of media printed thats no good for the re-opening and WE CANT MOVE IN. At all. So, once I return everything back to the way it was... I can get my deposit back. Whohoo. So, I am back to square one.

That stinks. Are you going to look for somewhere else? You'll probably find one that is way better and you'll be glad you didn't get this one!

Well, I dont really know now. I only need between 600-800 sq feet. The man from City Council said Im probably going to run into this alot with places that are that size. I guess I got lucky the first time. Everything happens for a reason, maybe I should just stay where I am.

Yup. It does... I really dont even know what i am most aggravated about. I had a girl come in and paint one wall all different colors with my logo over it... it looked REALLY neat. Im for sure not happy I have to paint over that. Cant take it with me either. Lesson learned.

Cut the sheetrock off and take it with you. Then just put up new sheetrock. You have to paint anyways...

that's a bummer.... zoning stuff is very annoying. take a nice photo of the wall with your logo and use it for ads and the background of your myspace etc. :)
