Ok so what the heck is this there Slingbox?? I have never heard of it.

you connect it to the back of your router and to your tv.... then it sends your tv thru the internet. there are several different setups for it. it has ir hookups to so you can change the station from where you are and even power the tv on and off. you can also access your tivo, vcr etc.

when we were doing our buildout we used to watch baseball games on there.... so i'm thinking about 3 yrs or longer :)
