Rep Power: 30 | Should I go? OK heres my dilema of tha day.. One of my good customers (19 years old) has invited me to a party hes throwing at his parents restaurant. It's a Huge place and all the kids from the highschools are going to be there.. I had no intention of going because (A) I'm 22 years old and (B) All my younger customers are going to be there.. but then my employees are saying I have to go or else I'm going to insult my customer and its a good opportunity to get to know my customers and get new ones coming to the store... I kind of think they have a point but I'm not sure if it's just going to be weird. The other reason I'm thinking about going is becasue all day yesterday and today all the younger clients have been asking if I was going and looking really upset when I said "I'm not sure".. errrr.. I have a huge younger clientell and I know the reason they come here is because its considered the "cool" place and I'm young so they can relate.. should I go? or how can I get out of it without offending anyone? |

Rep Power: 21 | Re: Should I go? Ug thats a hard one... I get invites but usually gracefully decline........Now your partying with them they might think he's cool I can get discounts and you might feel more obligated to give them...... by the way 22 is not that much older then 19 Nigel....I know owning a business makes you feel like you are so much older then everyone in those your age! I call it slow season aging.....only it happens fast! |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Should I go? yeah there are pros and cons to going and not going lol I still believe that since you are a business owner you need to uphold some kind of professionalism lol But again, you can go and have fun and mingle. But I agree with the fact that you dont' want to befriend all of them to where they do want discounts and blah blah. I dont know.... it might be a good networking time to go and promote your salon to others that dont' tan with you. |
