Rep Power: 50 | Dogs welcome "Dogs Welcome" A man wrote a letter to a small hotel in a Midwest town he planned to visit on his vacation. He wrote:"I would very much like to bring my dog with me. He is well-groomed and very well behaved. Would you be willing to permit me to keep him in my room with me at night?" An immediate reply came from the hotel owner, who wrote: "I've been operating this hotel for many years. In all that time, I've never had a dog steal towels, bedclothes, silverware or pictures off the walls. I've never had to evict a dog in the middle of the night for being drunk and disorderly. And I've never had a dog run out on a hotel bill. Yes, indeed, your dog is welcome at my hotel. And, if your dog will vouch for you, you're welcome to stay here, too."

Rep Power: 103 | Re: Dogs welcome Not really the same subject, but I was talking to the local juvenile court judge a while ago and he said that he had been checking with the kids appearing before him in court to see which ones had hunting licenses. Very few kids that were hunters ended up in his courtroom. He attributed this to more parental involvement and actually having an activity to occupy their time rather than being out looking for something to do. (Oh well, I thought it was interesting...)

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Dogs welcome I think the best thing that the Canadian government did in the few past years was to pass that law agains unregistered firearm. I'm still, at my age, always surprised when I hear some of my friends in the States tell me that they have a firearm either in their wardrobe or under the bed for protection! |

Here is the link for those of you who are interested in the gun legislation in Canada : http://www.guncontrol.ca/Content/GunControlLaws.html |
