I hang out on both boards. I try to glean the good stuff from both and enjoy the interaction. Something I learned a long time ago, if you don't like how something is done ask yourself, what have I don't to change it.

Do you go there and contribute? I try to contribute some whereever I am. This is an industry that I have been a part of for over 12 years and proud of it. I will do anything I can to enhance the industry, whether it is in my salon or on a message board.

If someone is talking rotten stuff, I just ignore them and continue on my path.

Oh! And I have a new spray tan client because of posts I made on Tan Today. A client was researching spray tanning, found my professional posts, tracked down my salon and voila', I now have a new client.

It's up to you to be professional no matter where you are or who else is there. If enough professional people are on a particular board, it will turn the tide, if need be.

It's time this industry stood up as professional. The only ones that are going to make that happen are the salon owners.
