The Australians Got It Right

Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday toget out of Australia, as the government targeted radicals in a bid to headoff potential terror attacks.

A day after a group of mainstream Muslim leaders pledged loyalty toAustralia and her Queen at a special meeting with Prime Minister JohnHoward, he and his Ministers made it clear that extremists would face acrackdown.

Treasurer Peter Costello, seen as heir apparent to Howard, hinted that someradical clerics could be asked to leave the country if they did not acceptthat Australia was a secular state , and its laws were made by parliament."If those are not your values, if you want a country which has Sharia law ora theocratic state, then Australia is not for you", he said on nationaltelevision.

"I'd be saying to clerics who are teaching that there are two laws governingpeople in Australia: one the Australian law and anotherthe Islamic law,that is false. If you can't agree with parliamentary law, independent
courts, democracy, and would prefer Sharia law and have the opportunity togo to another country, which practices it, perhaps, then, that's a betteroption", Costello said.

Asked whether he meant radical clerics would be forced to leave, he saidthose with dual citizenship could possibly be asked to move to the othercountry. Education Minister Brendan Nelson later told reporters that Muslimswho did not want to accept local values should "clear off. Basically peoplewho don't want to be Australians, and who don't want to live by Australianvalues and understand them, well then, they can basically clear off", hesaid.

Separately, Howard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying hesupported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques Quote: "IMMIGRANTS,NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nationworrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture.Since the terrorist attacks on Bali, we have experienced a surge inpatriotism by the majority of Australians."

I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudgeagainst anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to Australia.However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to ourcountry, and apparently some born here, need to understand.This idea of
Australia being a multicultural community has served only to dilute oursovereignty and our national identity. As Australians, we have our ownculture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle.Thisculture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials andvictories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom."

It is time for everyone to wake up and realize that Islam is NOT the religion of peace but a group of subversive people determined to undermine all democratic governments by violence and terror. In short, with Islam, it is do as I say or die!

The Koran actually justifies the Muslims by stating that it is their duty to kill all infidels...that is you and I BTY!

I agree with Australia's response and believe that it is time for the non-Islamic world to band together to state a simple clear message; Stop attacking what we hold dear or be prepared to die! This means the terrorists and their families. We should show them the same level of care and compassion that they showed over 3500 Americans in the 9/11 attacks.

One more point to ponder. Why is it that out of 34 conflicts in the world today, 31 involve ISLAM? It is time for us to stop the dangerous practice of political correctness and to attack the problem and end the plague of Islamic Fundamentalism for once and for all.
