I'm not even the owner and my husband has issued with me working so many hours (which really aren't SO many) and having employees call me with problems when I'm off, etc. I just have to remind him I am the manager and that's what managers do. Doesn't stop him from griping but I ignore him now.

OMG time is such as issue , especially when your other half isnt involved in your business. ...But if they are supportive they will suck it up,.. But sometimes you do have to step away and havea life even if its for a few hours LOL...

I guess I am one of the very lucky ones, my husband is very supportive of my salon even though he has nothing to do with it. My husband and I have been together for a total of 7 years but only married for 2 1/2 years. I started my salon at the age of 21 and when we first started dating (and no he was not a customer) there were issues with the working hours, but now since we have been married there has been no problems with the hours. Time will only tell if this stays true.

I am trying to figure out how to incorporate children, husband (who also has own biz), life, and opening up this joint! I know this is going to be a challenge but I am hoping as a strong happy family we will be able to pull this off. I am just hoping we are not tucking our kids in our tanning beds at night! :)
