FOX NETWORK CALLED ME YESTERDAY........

I got a call yesterday from Fox and he said he saw me on my space and asked if I have heard of a show called Trading Spouses. Well, since I don't watch Tv much, I had to say NO. He then asked me if I would be interested in being on the show. He gave a short explanation of what it consists of, including $50,000 per couple and I would have to stay at someones house for one week and that wife stays at mine. I said I am not interested. I don't want some lazy unhealthy lady coming in my home and messing up my routine with the kids and feeding them potato chips all day! When my employee came in, I mentioned it to him and he said I was absolutely NUTS for turning it down. He asked do I realize how much exposure I would get on the salon??? THAT,..I didn't think about. But even as I think of it more, I still would have an issue with some lady raising my children, even for a day, let alone a solid week.

Asking other mommies out in the tantalk world, would you have said yes?

I have seen that show, and some of the "moms" that change lives are crazy!!! That's a toss up, as I do not have children of my own. But it may make your family realize how good they have it with you as their mother! And don't forget about the $50,000!

**** NO. (I aint no mommy but) that's like taking an offer from Satan himself. They make you look however they want you to look. Their "reality" shows are so edited that most of the "REACTIONS" are all edited together and are so out of context that it's scary.

I've seen one show (I think it was surreal life or some crap) where someone said one thing and the reaction that was spliced to it wasn't even in the same time period. It went from light to dark out in what was SUPPOSED to be different camera angles.

Nope. Not even close.

yeah they could make you look bad. which could hurt your salon....id seriously think it over.

ask if you can switch husbands and you stay at your house ...hahaha

the 50,000 the other mommy gets to spend it for you - yipee -
plus there is always some angle - they usually swap out opposites (makes for good tv ya know)
i saw a blip where they had an atheist switch places with a preachers wife...usually turns out good - but it's your whole family that you take a risk with - i prob would have said no tho too - but who knows how it would have turned out?

you may get exposure, but that other mom gets to tell you how to spend that 50,ooo.oo and you have to spend it in whatever way she says to. **** that. and what if new clients came into the salon while she was there OMG you'd loose them forever LOL!

A woman that lives here in our town did that. Whe was one of the first. They will cut and splice together what you do and say to make good television. It probably won't be anything like what you really say.

They won't do much to help advertise your business. You will be a "local business owner" or some such as that. They will even blur out the business name if it happens to get in a shot.

I think it is a really stupid show and I only watched it the one time when this lady that I know was on it.

No no no. Don't do that! That is one of the worst shows on television! They just make people look bad. What billable said...they will just cut it apart to make everyone look bad....
