Rep Power: 130 | Massage Therapists Really Suck   Is it just me or are all massage therapist flaky and think they should get EVERYTHING for free. I have had one renting a space from me for a few months. She decided to take off and go to Italy for 4 wks. This REALLY hurt her business. I really want her to succeed so I agreed to let her work off her rent since right now is ok and I don't really look for it till winter. She wants to take an Estician class (spelling sucks) which is fine but she seems to think over that 5 wks she shouldn't work. as much. I broke it down finally getting quite frusterated. I took no deposit, have paid for advertisment, and sorry life is hard you will be pulling long hours but nothing in life comes easy. I told her either she needs to pay her rent or work the hours I have for her. PERIOD! I have a nail tech very intrested in the room with a LARGE client base. I am just wondering what it would cost to have the plumbing ran and a chair put in for pedicures.... Grrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Rep Power: 66 | Re: Massage Therapists Really Suck I would say go with the nail tech, glow! I would rather get my nails done then tan while they finish drying than get a massage and then tan. Or worse, tan then get a massage (smelly...ugh!) LOL But, it comes down to who will be more reliable for you...sounds like the MT won't be...

Rep Power: 27 | Re: Massage Therapists Really Suck nail techs can be just as bad. you make the offer of a room and they pay regardless of what vacations they want. Better off with another tanning unit, imho. Service people are lazy for the most part, UNLESS they are hungry and/or driven for success. |

Rep Power: 130 | Re: Massage Therapists Really Suck I am even thinking of buying an sunless airbrush unit and doing that on the side.... I could designate certain days and times to that and probably make as much as she is paying me. But the key is I like the little extra money in the winter |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Massage Therapists Really Suck Speaking as a nail tech, you have to be driven to have a large client base. Also, you will have her clientele moving steady through you each season slow or not you can bank on her rent and being there, as far as the plumbing you can run it but dont purchase the pedicure chair its not your responsiblity. with the way everything is being regulated with those units you dont want to hold the responsibilty of anything going wrong (g-forbid). It would be your reputation not hers . By the way Bless your heart advertising for your MT, sweetheart she is taking advantage of your kindness and ruining it for the next person to come along who will appreciate it . |

^^^^Huh? Anyway, I wouldnt have a nail tech in my salon because the chemicals are too strong and I dont want my salon smelling like all that. Just hire a different massage therapist! | |
